Omschrijving onderdeel 11: TUINDERSWONING
Tuinderswoning behorende bij het complex historische buitenplaats Berkenrode even ten zuiden van het voormalig koetshuis gelegen. Gepleisterd gebouw van één bouwlaag, in oorsprong daterend uit de eerste helft van de negentiende eeuw, tegen het eind van de negentiende-eeuw verbouwd en van een mansarde kap voorzien. Het dak is met pannen gedekt en steekt over de beide topgevels. De toegang tot het huis bevindt zich in de lange oostgevel, waarin tevens nog enkele vensters met luiken. De zuidelijke topgevel is bij het aanbrengen van het mansardedak van decoratief houtwerk en twee vensters in de geveltop voorzien. Op de begane grond nog de twee oudere vensters met ramen met een middenstijl en luiken. Het gebouw is schilderachtig gelegen aan een brede watergang en uitkijkend over de weilanden.

De tuinderswoning is van algemeen belang:

Description component 11: GARDENER'S DWELLING
Gardener's dwelling belonging to the complex historic country estate Berkenrode situated just south of the former coach house. Plastered building of one storey, originally dating from the first half of the nineteenth century, altered towards the end of the nineteenth century and provided with a mansard roof. The roof is covered with tiles and projects over both gable ends. Access to the house is located in the long east-facing gable, which also contains some windows with shutters. The south-facing gable end was, when the mansard roof was installed, provided with decorative woodwork and two windows in the gable top. On the ground floor still the two older windows with frames with a central post and shutters. The building is picturesquely situated beside a broad waterway and overlooking the meadows.
