Omschrijving onderdeel 5: ENSEMBLE VAN MOESTUIN MET TUINMUUR EN KAS
Ten zuiden van de oprijlaan gelegen ensemble van een moestuin met tuinmuur en een kas, behorende bij het complex historische buitenplaats Berkenrode. De moestuin wordt nagenoeg geheel door waterlopen omgeven met een 18de-eeuwse tuinmuur langs de westzijde en een deel van de noordzijde. In zijn vorm, rechthoek, en ligging gaat deze plek terug op de 18de-eeuwse aanleg. De westelijke tuinmuur is een in westelijke richting, naar achter hellende tuinmuur. Ook de pijlers van de toegangspoort hellen over. Aan de achterzijde wordt de muur geleed door steunberen. De muur is deels vervallen. De noordelijke muur staat te lood en is hoger, maar loopt in oostelijke richting na een knik, lager af. Voor dit lagere deel staat een kleine gemetselde kas, van later datum, met een glazen lessenaarsdak.

Description component 5: ENSEMBLE OF KITCHEN GARDEN WITH GARDEN WALL AND GLASSHOUSE
Ensemble of a kitchen garden with garden wall and a glasshouse located south of the approach drive, belonging to the complex of historic country house Berkenrode. The kitchen garden is almost entirely surrounded by waterways with an 18th-century garden wall along the west side and part of the north side. In its form, rectangular, and location this site dates back to the 18th-century layout. The western garden wall is a wall leaning back in a westerly direction. The piers of the access gate also lean. On the rear side the wall is articulated by buttresses. The wall is partially ruined. The northern wall stands plumb and is higher, but runs off lower in an easterly direction after a corner. In front of this lower section stands a small masonry glasshouse, of later date, with a glazed lean-to roof.

The ensemble of kitchen garden with garden wall and glasshouse is of general importance:
