Inleiding
HEK uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw op 18de-eeuwse DAM, onderdeel van de buitenplaats "Sperwershof". Het hek vormt vanaf het Ankeveensepad de toegang tot de moestuin, die is gelegen op het zuidwestelijke gedeelte van de rechthoekige kavel. Het hek staat nabij de tot de buitenplaats behorende voormalige koetsierswoning met stal.
Omschrijving
Het ijzeren spijlenhek bestaat uit een draaivleugel tussen twee vaste zijvleugels die verankerd zijn natuurstenen blokken. De draaivleugel heeft een getoogde bovenzijde waarboven de spijlen uitsteken, bekroond door Franse lelies. Onder het midden een horizontale strook van cirkels tussen regels, onderaan een strook met kruizen tussen regels. De zijvleugels worden bekroond door een Franse lelie op decoratief uitgewerkt onderstuk, temidden van Franse lelies op de verankerde stijlen. Het linker zijstuk wordt tot de strook onder het midden geflankeerd door een halve cirkel met uitstekende Franse lelies op straalsgewijs geplaatste stijlen. De bakstenen dam over de zuidelijke kavelsloot tussen het Ankeveensepad en de buitenplaats, heeft iets uitzwenkende keermuren, afgesloten door natuurstenen hoekblokken.

GATE from the second half of the 19th century on 18th-century DAM, component of the country estate "Sperwershof". The gate forms the entrance from the Ankeveensepad to the kitchen garden, which is located on the southwestern part of the rectangular plot. The gate stands near the former coachman's house with stable belonging to the country estate.
Description
The iron paling gate consists of a swing leaf between two fixed side leaves which are anchored in natural stone blocks. The swing leaf has an arched top above which the pales project, crowned by fleur-de-lis. Below the centre a horizontal strip of circles between rules, at the bottom a strip with crosses between rules. The side leaves are crowned by a fleur-de-lis on decoratively worked support, amidst fleur-de-lis on the anchored stiles. The left side piece is flanked up to the strip below the centre by a half circle with projecting fleur-de-lis on radiantly placed stiles. The brick dam over the southern plot ditch between the Ankeveensepad and the country estate, has slightly outward-angled retaining walls, closed off by natural stone corner blocks.
Valuation
The 19th-century gate on the 18th-century dam is of general importance because of cultural and architectural-historical value as a well-preserved historical-functional component of the country estate Sperwershof, located within the protected village townscape of 's-Graveland.
