Inleiding.
KERKHOF van de Broeders van Oudenbosch, gelegen aansluitend aan de tuin van het voormalige broederklooster en het complex van het INTERNAAT Saint Louis, aangelegd eind 19de eeuw.
Omschrijving.
Rechthoekig kerkhof, omgeven door een hulsthaag en toegankelijk door een smeedijzeren hek met pijlpunten, bekroond door kruisen met ajour gegoten doodssymbolen als bazuinen, uitdovende fakkels en zandlopers. Direct achter het hek het in 1890 geplaatste hardstenen neo-renaissance grafmonument voor de eerste overste van de congregatie Vader Vincentius, overleden in 1889. Dit bestaat uit een liggende tombe met aan het hoofdeinde een vierkante opbouw met rijke ornamentiek. Het is gesigneerd: 'W. van Glabbeek oud-leerling, Tilburg'. De tombe heeft een liggend kruis in wit marmer en draagt als opschrift: 'Bidt voor de ziel van zalige/ de eerw. vader Vincentius/ medestichter der congregatie/ van den H. Aloysius/ overleden den 27 april 1889/ in het 77ste jaar van zijn/ ouderdom/ in het 50ste zijner waardigheid/ van alg. overste/ RIP'. De opstand heeft een vierkante basis met rechthoekige velden en wordt geflankeerd door overhoekse gecanneleerde toscaanse zuilen. De kroonlijst draagt tussen vier vlampotten een vierzijdige, koepelachtige bekroning, waarop een marmeren beeld van de zittende Maria met kind, gesigneerd 'De Vriendt 1890'. Aan de voorzijde een rondboogvormig veld met een dubbelportret in reliëf van Vader Vincentius en pastoor Hellemons en de tekst: 'D.O.M./ et piae mem. fund. instit./rev. dni./ Gul. Hellemons/ ord. cist. par./ et rev. frat./ Vinc. Huybrechts/Ii sup. gen/ expl. x ab inst. cond. lust./ grati vet. alumni/ pp./ kal mart. MDCCCXC'. In het boogveld ter linkerzijde de tekst 'Sitis simplices filii dei. Philipp. II, 15', rechts de tekst: ' Haec mando vobis ut diligeatis invicem Ioan XV, 17'. Klinkerpaden leiden naar enige tientallen in rijen achter dit monument geplaatste ornamentale gietijzeren kruisen voor de broeders. Deze identieke kruisen hebben aan de voet een engel, erboven een ovaal naamschildje en een meegegoten corpus. Verder zijn onder meer van belang de monumenten voor Vader Hilarius (1840-1902), voor Car. Faranc. de Croes (1896) en het later verplaatste kruisbeeld met corpus en zittend beeld van Maria.
Waardering.
Het kerkhof is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van een geestelijke, typologische en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van katholieke onderwijscongregaties en de uitgroei van Oudenbosch tot odnrwijscentrum van nationaal belang; het is van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de ornamentiek; het heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een groter geheel, de kern van Oudenbosch, dat stedenbouwkundig van nationaal belang is; het is gaaf bewaard gebleven; het is zeldzaam vanwege de combinatie van eerder genoemde kenmerken.

CEMETERY of the Brothers of Oudenbosch, located adjoining the garden of the former monastery and the complex of the INTERNAAT Saint Louis, laid out in the late 19th century.
Description.
Rectangular cemetery, surrounded by a holly hedge and accessible through a wrought iron gate with spear points, crowned with crosses with openwork cast death symbols such as trumpets, expiring torches and hourglasses. Directly behind the gate, the hardstone neo-Renaissance funerary monument for the first superior of the congregation Father Vincentius, who died in 1889, placed in 1890. This consists of a lying tomb with at the head end a square superstructure with rich ornamentation. It is signed: 'W. van Glabbeek former pupil, Tilburg'. The tomb bears a lying cross in white marble and carries the inscription: 'Pray for the soul of blessed/ the reverend father Vincentius/ co-founder of the congregation/ of Saint Aloysius/ died on 27 April 1889/ in the 77th year of his/ life/ in the 50th year of his office/ of general superior/ RIP'. Hellemons/ ord. cist. par./ et rev. frat./ Vinc. Huybrechts/Ii sup. gen/ expl. x ab inst. cond. lust./ grati vet. alumni/ pp./ kal mart. MDCCCXC'. In the arch field on the left side the text 'Sitis simplices filii dei. Philipp. II, 15', on the right the text: ' Haec mando vobis ut diligeatis invicem Ioan XV, 17'. Brick paths lead to some dozens of ornamental cast iron crosses for the brothers placed in rows behind this monument. These identical crosses have an angel at the base, above it an oval name plate and a cast-in corpus. Also of importance are among others the monuments for Father Hilarius (1840-1902), for Car. Faranc. de Croes (1896) and the later relocated crucifix with corpus and seated statue of Mary.
Valuation.
The cemetery is of general importance. It has cultural-historical importance as a particular expression of a spiritual, typological and geographical development, namely the establishment of Catholic educational congregations and the growth of Oudenbosch into an educational centre of national importance; it has architectural-historical importance because of the particular use of materials and the ornamentation; it has ensemble values as part of a larger whole, the centre of Oudenbosch, which is of national importance from an urban planning perspective; it has been well preserved; it is rare because of the combination of the aforementioned characteristics.
