Omschrijving
De Vlaamse schuur is omstreeks 1800 gebouwd; wellicht in 1787, toen het huidige huis werd gerealiseerd, maar zeker voor 1824: de schuur staat op de kadastrale kaart uit dat jaar.
De schuur heeft een globaal rechthoekige grondslag, is voorzien van een beplanking en een met riet gedekte kap.
De schuur heeft zijn oorspronkelijke grenenhouten draagconstructie, voorzien van telmerken. Vanwege het gebruik van de schuur (er moesten wagens doorheen kunnen rijden) bestaat de constructie uit een combinatie van dek- en ankerbalkconstructies.
Waardering
De omstreeks 1800 gebouwde Vlaamse schuur van Weilust is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- het bouwtype Vlaamse schuur;
- de gave uit- en inwendige verschijningsvorm inclusief de kenmerkende constructie;

Description
The Flemish barn was built around 1800; possibly in 1787, when the present house was constructed, but certainly before 1824: the barn appears on the cadastral map from that year.
The barn has a roughly rectangular ground plan, is provided with cladding and a thatched roof truss structure.
The barn has its original painted wood load-bearing structure, provided with carpenters' marks. Due to the use of the barn (wagons had to be able to pass through it) the structure consists of a combination of tie-beam and tie-rod constructions.
