Omschrijving
Het huis Weilust stamt in de huidige vorm uit 1787 en is de opvolger van een tot herenhuis geëvolueerde herenkamer. De boerderij waar het pand aan vast was gebouwd is bij de restauratie uit 1968 verdwenen.
Het pand heeft een globaal vierkante grondslag en telt twee bouwlagen en een kapverdieping onder schilddak gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. Aan de rechterzijde bevindt zich een aanbouw van 1823. Het pand is opgetrokken in gele baksteen.
De voorgevel bevat de entree in omlijsting en verder op de begane grond en verdieping veelruits schuifvensters. De zijgevels bevatten hoofdzakelijk oorspronkelijke vensters (afgezien van de deur- en vensterpartij van de keuken). De achtergevel stamt uit 1968 en is gerealiseerd toen de boerderij werd afgebroken. Tegen de rechtergevel bevindt zich een restant van een oude waterput.
Het interieur bevat in hoofdzaak de oude structuur (kelder, indeling begane grond), balklagen en kappen. Van uitzonderlijk belang is de uitmonstering van de herenkamer met beschilderde wandbespanningen (geheel in de geest van het buitenleven bestaande uit landschappen gestaffeerd met buitenhuizen, boerderijen, herders, ruiters, watervallen, een folly enz.), betimmeringen en schouw met portretstuk. Description
The house Weilust in its present form dates from 1787 and is the successor to a manor chamber that had evolved into a gentleman's residence. The farm building to which the property was attached disappeared during the 1968 restoration.
The building has a roughly square ground plan and comprises two storeys and an attic storey under a hipped roof covered with Dutch clay tiles. On the right side there is an extension from 1823. The building is constructed of yellow brick.
The front facade contains the entrance in a surround and further on the ground floor and upper floor multi-pane sash windows. The side facades contain mainly original windows (apart from the door and window section of the kitchen). The rear facade dates from 1968 and was realized when the farm was demolished.
