Inleiding
GRENSPAAL uit het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw, is geplaatst ter afbakening van de Horsten door prinses Marie zu Wied, dochter van Z.K.H. Frederik der Nederlanden. Na het overlijden van haar vader in 1881 erfde zij het omvangrijke bezit aan buitenplaatsen van haar vader, waaronder De Horsten. Evenals haar vader liet zij aan aantal grenspalen plaatsen ter markering van het bezit. Deze komen relatief minder voor. De paal staat op zijn oorspronkelijke plaats.

Introduction
BOUNDARY STONE from the last quarter of the 19th century, was placed to demarcate De Horsten by Princess Marie zu Wied, daughter of H.R.H. Frederik of the Netherlands. After her father's death in 1881 she inherited the extensive holdings of country estates of her father, including De Horsten. Like her father she had a number of boundary stones placed to mark the property. These occur relatively less frequently. The stone stands on its original location.
