Omschrijving
Inleiding.
Onderdeel 3, waarvan de kern dateert uit 1871, is gebouwd in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl met versobering door witte bepleistering en beschildering. Het bestaat uit een viertal bouwvolumes die intern met elkaar zijn verbonden. Het is in aansluiting op onderdeel 2 gebouwd, ten westen daarvan gelegen en intern daarmee verbonden.
Omschrijving.
De tweelaags langshal onder zadeldak die langs de dijk is gelegen, heeft een rechthoekig grondplan en is opgetrokken uit baksteen. Het zadeldak is recentelijk belegd met golfplaat. Het gebouw is negen traveeën lang met op de eerste verdieping in elke travee een getoogd venster met ijzeren roedenraam. Ook in de topgevel aan de westzijde zijn getoogde vensters geplaatst met ijzeren roedenramen. Het interieur bestaat uit één open ruimte zonder verdiepingsvloeren. De kap wordt gedragen door ijzeren Polonceau-spanten. Dwars op dit bouwvolume, en intern daarmee verbonden, is aan de noordzijde een tweetal tweelaags gebouwen geplaatst, beide onder zadeldak met golfplaat. In de topgevels zijn getoogde vensters met ijzeren roedenramen aangebracht. Het oostelijke gebouw heeft in het interieur geen verdiepingsvloeren en een kap met ijzeren spanten. Het andere gebouw heeft een halve verdiepingsvloer. Ten oosten daarvan en intern daarmee verbonden ligt de voormalige dienstwoning annex kantoor van drie bouwlagen onder plat dak. Zij is opgetrokken uit baksteen en gebouwd op rechthoekig grondplan met afgeschuinde hoek. Op de eerste en tweede verdieping zijn getoogde vensters met roedenramen aangebracht. De begane grond heeft rechtgesloten vensters met recentelijk vernieuwde ramen en deuren. Het interieur is rond 1980-1990 grondig gewijzigd.
Waardering.
Onderdeel 3 van de voormalige suikerfabriek St. Antoine is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als illustratieve vertegenwoordiger van de geschiedenis van de Nederlandse suikerindustrie, die een belangrijke concentratie kende in het noordwesten van de provincie Noord-Brabant (De Suikerhoek) en als voorbeeld van het type vroege suikerfabriek. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van fabrieksbouw in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl. Het heeft bouwhistorische waarde vanwege de ijzeren roedenramen en Polonceauspanten. Perpendicular to this building volume and internally connected to it, two two-storey buildings are positioned on the north side, both under gabled roofs with corrugated sheeting. Arched windows with iron glazing bars are fitted in the gables. The eastern building has no intermediate floors in the interior and a roof with iron trusses. The other building has a mezzanine floor. To the east of this and internally connected lies the former servants' quarters adjoining office of three storeys under a flat roof.
