Omschrijving
Inleiding.
Onderdeel 2, waarvan de kern dateert uit 1871, is gebouwd in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl met versobering door witte bepleistering en beschildering. Het bestaat uit een tweetal langshallen, die evenwijdig aan de weg zijn gelegen en in aansluiting op de westgevel van onderdeel 1 zijn gebouwd.
Omschrijving.
Beide gebouwen hebben een rechthoekig grondplan en zijn opgetrokken uit baksteen. Het gebouw dat tegen de dijk aan is gebouwd, is met zijn vier bouwlagen het hoogste van het complex. Het is zeven traveeën lang en heeft aan de straatzijde in elke travee een getoogd venster met ijzeren roedenraam op de eerste en tweede verdieping en een rechtgesloten venster met ijzeren roedenraam op de derde verdieping. De topgevels hebben een gemetselde, geprofileerde lijst. In het interieur worden de gemetselde, getoogde verdiepingsvloeren gedragen door gietijzeren kolommen. Het zadeldak wordt gedragen door ijzeren Polonceauspanten. Aan de noordzijde grenst de tweede hal, bestaande uit een eenlaags gebouw onder zadeldak, recentelijk belegd met golfplaat. Het dak wordt gedragen door ijzeren Engelse spanten.
Waardering.
Onderdeel 2 van de voormalige suikerfabriek St. Antoine is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als illustratieve vertegenwoordiger van de geschiedenis van de Nederlandse suikerindustrie, die een belangrijke concentratie kende in het noordwesten van de provincie Noord-Brabant (De Suikerhoek) en als voorbeeld van het type vroege suikerfabriek.
