Inleiding
Bij de buitenplaats Eemwijk behorende ORANJERIE uit 1918. De in sobere Traditionalistische stijl opgetrokken oranjerie is gebouwd door de Rotterdamse architect R.J. Hoogeveen.
Omschrijving
Vanuit een rechthoekige plattegrond in schone baksteen opgetrokken verdiepingloze oranjerie onder een plat dak. De dakrand wordt geaccentueerd door een rand siermetselwerk. Het blokvormige pand wordt geleed hoekpilasters die boven de dakrand uitsteken. In de voorgevel bevinden zich drie grote rondboog vormige openingen waaromheen een rand gemetselde strekken en een sierrand van baksteen, tussen de openingen een liseen die eveneens een stukje boven de dakrand uitsteekt. Ingang in de zijgevel.

Constructed from a rectangular floor plan in fair-face brick, a single-storey orangery under a flat roof. The roof edge is accentuated by a border of decorative brickwork. The blocky building is articulated by corner pilasters extending above the roof edge. In the front facade there are three large round-arch-shaped openings surrounded by a border of laid stretchers and a decorative border of brick, between the openings a lesene that likewise extends a short distance above the roof edge.
