Inleiding.
Het BAKHUISJE werd gebouwd in 1902 in opdracht van W.F.C.J. Eerens naar ontwerp van C. de Rooij. Het ovengedeelte is verdwenen. Het bakhuisje bevindt zich op het erf van de woning met stallen uit 1901 en is geplaatst aan de oostzijde van het erf.
Omschrijving.
Het eenlaagse gebouwtje heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en een zadeldak waarop rode Oudhollandse dakpannen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen met rechte muurankers. In de korte voorgevel is een paneeldeur met een raampje aangebracht. De overige gevels zijn blind. Aan de achterzijde is de ovenaanbouw verdwenen, de plaats ervan is in het metselwerk nog te onderscheiden. Op de nok bij de achtergevel staat een vierkante bakstenen schoorsteen.
Waardering.
Het bakhuisje is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een ruimtelijke ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van landhuizen in de bosrijke omgeving van de stad en is van belang als zeer laat voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het bakhuis. Het geheel heeft ensemblewaarde wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met de groenvoorzieningen.

The single-storey building has a rectangular floor plan and a gabled roof with red Old Dutch roof tiles. The facades are constructed of machine-made brick with straight wall anchors. In the short front facade a panel door with a small window is installed. The remaining facades are blank. On the rear side the oven extension has disappeared, its location is still distinguishable in the brickwork. On the ridge at the rear facade stands a square brick chimney.
Valuation.
The bakehouse is of general interest. It has cultural-historical value as an example of spatial development, namely the establishment of country houses in the wooded surroundings of the city and is of significance as a very late example of the typological development of the bakehouse. The whole has ensemble value because of the high quality of the buildings and the historical-spatial relationship with the landscape provisions.
