Inleiding
HEKWERK, gesitueerd aan de straatzijde van de villa. Het hek dateert waarschijnlijk uit de periode rond 1895. De inrijpoort is verplaatst.
Omschrijving
IJzeren hekwerk, geplaatst op een bakstenen ezelsrug. Het hek bestaat uit gietijzeren penanten met dennenappelbekroning waartussen steeds twee rijen stijlen met pijlpunten geplaatst zijn. De spijlen en penanten worden horizontaal verbonden door drie horizontale stangen.
Waardering
Het hekwerk is van algemeen belang. Het hekwerk heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling waarbij de gegoede burgerij en de bestuurlijke elite zich in de directe nabijheid van 's-Hertogenbosch aan de uitvalswegen van de kleinere, meer landelijke, plaatsen daaromheen vestigen en daar een landhuis laten bouwen.
Het is van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de bijzondere samenhang tussen de samenstellende onderdelen, de typologische en de kunsthistorische kwaliteit van de toegepaste eclectische en neoromaanse stijlelementen. Het heeft ensemblewaarde vanwege de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met de wegen en groenvoorzieningen. Het is van belang vanwege de bouwtechnische en typologische zeldzaamheid die het als zodanig bezit.

Iron fencing, placed on a brick herringbone course. The fence consists of cast-iron pilasters with pine-cone tops between which two rows of uprights with arrow points are placed. The uprights and pilasters are horizontally connected by three horizontal rails.

The fencing has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of socio-economic development whereby the prosperous bourgeoisie and the administrative elite settled in the immediate vicinity of 's-Hertogenbosch at the outskirts of the smaller, more rural places around it and had a country house built there.
