Inleiding.
De PASTORIE werd in 1920 gebouwd naar ontwerp van Jos en Pierre Cuypers in een eenvoudige Traditionalistische bouwtrant.
Omschrijving.
Tweelaags bakstenen pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder schilddak. Het dak heeft een overstek en is gedekt met Hollandse pannen. De voorgevel heeft een brede ingang onder een luifel. Tegen de zijkanten van de deur zijn staande glas-in-loodramen aangebracht. Ervoor bevindt zich een natuurstenen stoep met trapje. Links van de deur bevinden zich zowel op de begane grond als op de verdieping grote ramen met middenstijl. De bovenlichten zijn gevuld met glas-in-lood. De ramen op de begane grond zijn voorzien van houten rolluiken. Rechts in de voorgevel bevinden zich driedelige ramen waarbij de bovenlichten met glas-in-lood zijn gevuld. Op de begane grond is dit raam voorzien van rolluiken, op de verdieping is hetzelfde raam zonder rolluiken gemaakt. In het midden van het dakvlak bevindt zich een brede dakkapel in een grote betimmerde topgevel. De zijgevel bevat ramen van eenzelfde vormgeving als die in de voorgevel. Enlaags aanbouw onder plat dak.
In de voortuin een gemetselde L-vormige voet met vlaggenstok.
Waardering.
De pastorie behoort tot een gebouwencomplex van algemeen belang. Het geheel heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van de geestelijke ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het Interbellum. Het complex heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de vormgeving en neemt een belangrijke plaats in in het oeuvre van de architecten. Het geheel heeft ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van de langgerekte lintbebouwde kern van Dongen. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

Two-storey brick building on a rectangular plan under a hipped roof. The roof has an overhang and is covered with Dutch tiles. The front facade has a broad entrance under a canopy. Standing leaded-glass windows are installed against the sides of the door. In front of it is a natural stone step with small staircase. To the left of the door there are large windows with central mullion on both the ground floor and the upper storey. The fanlights are filled with leaded glass. The ground floor windows are fitted with wooden roller shutters. To the right in the front facade there are three-part windows with the fanlights filled with leaded glass. On the ground floor this window is fitted with roller shutters, on the upper storey the same window is made without roller shutters. In the middle of the roof plane there is a broad roof dormer in a large timber-framed spout gable. The side facade contains windows of the same design as those in the front facade. Single-storey extension under a flat roof.
In the front garden a mortared L-shaped base with flagstaff.
Valuation.
The rectory is part of a building complex of general importance. The whole has cultural-historical importance as an expression of the spiritual development of Catholicism in the Interwar period. The complex has architectural-historical value because of its design and occupies an important place in the oeuvre of the architects. The whole has ensemble value as part of the extended ribbon development of the core of Dongen. It has been preserved intact.
