Inleiding.
Het HEILIG HARTBEELD werd in 1933 vervaardigd door Leo Jungblut uit Bilthoven, tegelijk met de bouw van de kerk. De stijl ervan is een samengaan tussen Expressionisme en Traditionalisme. Het beeld bevindt zich, na enkele omzwervingen, tegen een gevel aan de noordzijde van de kerk.
Omschrijving.
Het beeld bestaat uit verscheidene delen geglazuurd aardewerk. De kleuren hiervan zijn gedekt, namelijk okergeel voor het kleed en roodbruin voor de mantel. De sokkel is voorzien van de signatuur van Leo Jungblut en de herkomst van het atelier: St. Joris, Beesel. Het Heilig Hartbeeld stelt de Christusfiguur meer dan levensgroot voor als een opvallend langgerekte, ascetische figuur, schrijdend met de rechterhand het brandend Heilig Hart beroerend en de linkerhand open benedenwaarts gekeerd. De handen zijn getooid met de stigmata.
Waardering.
Het beeld is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het Interbellum. Het is van belang voor de kunstgeschiedenis als voorbeeld van het werk van de beeldhouwer Jungblut en vanwege het materiaalgebruik. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

The SACRED HEART STATUE was made in 1933 by Leo Jungblut from Bilthoven, simultaneously with the construction of the church. Its style is a combination of Expressionism and Traditionalism. The statue is located, after some wanderings, against a facade on the north side of the church.

The Sacred Heart Statue depicts the Christ figure larger than life as a strikingly elongated, ascetic figure, striding with the right hand touching the burning Sacred Heart and the left hand open facing downwards. The hands are adorned with the stigmata.
Valuation.
The statue is of general importance. It has cultural-historical significance as an example of the development of Catholicism in the Interwar period. It is of importance for art history as an example of the work of the sculptor Jungblut and because of the use of material. It has been preserved in good condition.
