Inleiding.
Aan het einde van een aan de zuidzijde van de kerk gelegen oprijlaantje ligt het TOEGANGSHEK van de begraafplaats. Het kerkhof is aangelegd in 1860, het hek dateert van deze tijd of later.
Omschrijving.
Het bichrome, symmetrische sierhek staat ingeklemd tussen een heg van haagbeuk en bestaat uit vier onderdelen. De middelste delen bestaan uit een draaibaar smeedijzeren tweevleugelig hek met in hoogte afnemende puntspijlen, met elkaar verbonden door gebogen en rechte ijzeren staven. In het midden een slot voorzien van palmet-achtige motiefjes en een decoratieve klink. De twee beweegbare vleugels scharnieren om twee ijzeren pijlers, bestaand uit een smeedijzeren frame aangevuld en ingevuld met abstracte elementaire smeedijzeren vormen en figuratieve gietijzeren vormen, alle attributen van de dood die de kortstondigheid van het leven en het gestadig naderen van het stervensuur symboliseren. Van boven naar beneden:

At the end of a drive lane situated on the south side of the church lies the ENTRANCE GATE of the cemetery. The churchyard was laid out in 1860, the gate dates from this time or later.
Description.
The bichrome, symmetrical ornamental gate stands wedged between a hedge of hornbeam and consists of four components. The middle parts consist of a rotatable wrought-iron double-leaf gate with pointed spears decreasing in height, connected to each other by curved and straight iron rods. In the middle a lock provided with palmette-like motifs and a decorative handle. The two moveable leaves pivot on two iron posts, consisting of a wrought-iron frame supplemented and filled with abstract elementary wrought-iron forms and figurative cast-iron forms, all attributes of death which symbolise the transitoriness of life and the steady approach of the hour of death. From top to bottom:
skulls with bones, hourglasses with little wings and crossed crossbones.
Valuation.
The object is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of the development of Roman Catholic funeral culture as regards purpose and appearance. It has artistic-historical value owing to the importance for iconology and the history of wrought and cast ironwork and owing to the particular detailing and ornamentation. The object has ensemble values as part of a historically grown religious ensemble, further consisting of the cemetery with various funerary monuments, the church, the adjoining St. Albert convent and the nearby parsonage (national monument). The object is of importance owing to the integrity and the artistic-historical rarity of the appearance.
