Omschrijving
Inleiding.
Op de begraafplaats staat in het verlengde van het noordtransept van de kerk een tweetal GRAFMONUMENTEN van de familie Verhoeven, mogelijk in 1946 gebeeldhouwd. Het beeldhouwwerk vertoont elementen van de op de archasche en soms barokke vormentaal teruggrijpende kerkelijke beeldhouwkunst van rond de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Omschrijving.
Het tufstenen graf bestaat uit twee aan een noord-zuid lopend middenpad spiegelsymmetrisch ten opzichte van elkaar gelegen, oplopende graftomben. Aan de lage voet zijn in een halronde opening en op een voetstuk twee naar elkaar gerichte dodenwachters geplaatst. In het oostelijke graf een rozenkrans biddend begijntje en in het westelijke graf een dito monnik. Op de afdekplaten zwartmarmeren plaquettes met de namen en de geboorte- en sterfdata van de overledenen.
Waardering.
Het tweetal grafmonumenten is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van de rooms-katholieke grafcultuur en van een sociale ontwikkeling. Verder als bijzonder voorbeeld en uitwerking van een graftype op grond van de uniciteit van de voorstelling. Het heeft kunsthistorische waarde vanwege het representatieve karakter voor de rooms-katholieke kerkelijke beeldhouwkunst van rond de Tweede Wereldoorlog en de esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp. Het op de begraafplaats gelegen object heeft tesamen met de kerk, pastorie, overige (graf-)sculpturen en het St. Ursulaklooster ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een historisch gegroeid religieus ensemble aan de Baroniestraat. Dit ensemble vormt een belangwekkend onderdeel van de Boxtelse stationswijk, die rond 1900 uitgroeide tot een afzonderlijke parochie. Het object is van belang wegens de gaafheid en de relatieve zeldzaamheid van de in tufsteen uitgevoerde voorstelling.

On the cemetery stands, in line with the north transept of the church, a pair of FUNERARY MONUMENTS of the Verhoeven family, possibly carved in 1946. The sculpture displays elements of ecclesiastical sculpture drawing on archaic and sometimes baroque formal language from around the Second World War.
Description.
The tufa stone grave consists of two rising grave tombs mirrored symmetrically to each other on either side of a north-south running central path. At the low foot are two tomb guardians facing each other placed in a semicircular opening and on a plinth. In the eastern grave a Beguine saying the rosary and in the western grave a likewise monk. On the covering slabs black marble plaques with the names and birth and death dates of the deceased.
Valuation.
The pair of funerary monuments is of general importance. It has cultural-historical values as a particular expression of the development of Roman Catholic funeral culture and of a social development. Further as a particular example and elaboration of a grave type owing to the uniqueness of the representation. It has artistic-historical value owing to the representative character for Roman Catholic ecclesiastical sculpture from around the Second World War and the aesthetic qualities of the design. The object situated on the cemetery has, together with the church, parsonage, other (funerary) sculptures and the St. Ursula convent, ensemble values as part of a historically grown religious ensemble on the Baroniestraat. This ensemble forms a noteworthy part of the Boxtel station district, which developed around 1900 into a separate parish. The object is of importance owing to the integrity and the relative rarity of the representation executed in tufa stone.
