Inleiding.
Op het achtererf van de langgevelboerderij Oosterwijksestraat 12 staat, met de nok haaks op de boerderij, een voormalige PAARDENSTAL annex KARSCHOP, daterende uit omstreeks 1900.
Omschrijving.
De schuur heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, één bouwlaag plus kapverdieping, en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak, gedekt met oud-Hollandse pannen en muldenpannen In de westelijke kopgevel drie tweeruits lichten en een opgeklampt getoogd laadluik naar de taszolder. In de zuidelijke zijgevel een zesruits schuifvenster. In de noordelijke gevel twee opgeklampte inrijpoorten en een drietal betonnen stalvensters.
Waardering.
De schuur is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als uitdrukking van geografische en landschappelijke ontwikkelingen en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de schuur. On the rear of the long-gable farmhouse at Oosterwijksestraat 12 stands, with the ridge perpendicular to the farmhouse, a former HORSE STABLE together with CART SHED, dating from around 1900.

The barn has a rectangular ground plan, one storey plus roof space, and is covered by a gabled roof, covered with old-Dutch tiles and hollow tiles. In the western gable three two-light windows and a bolted arched loading hatch to the hay loft. In the southern side facade a six-light sash window. In the northern facade two bolted entrance doors and three concrete stable windows.
Valuation.
The barn is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical values as an expression of geographical and landscape developments and as an example of the typological development of the barn. It has ensemble values because of its siting, linked to the development of the region, in particular expressed in the field layout. It has been well preserved.
