Inleiding
In de gemeente Mill resteert direct ten zuiden van kazemat 428 een houten BRUG, waarvan de onderbouw uit 1939-1940 dateert, maar waarvan wegdek en leuningen door naoorlogse exemplaren vervangen zijn.
Omschrijving.
De brug heeft betonnen landhoofden en houten jukken, elk bestaande uit twee gezaagde stijlen, waarop een dekbalk. De brug is gelegen in een ter plaatse thans verharde weg, die van Boswachterij Sint Anthonis naar de Stichting voert en ter plaatse de Peel-Raamstelling kruist.
Waardering.
De brug is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de versterking en daaropvolgende verdediging van Nederland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is als zodanig een belangrijk document van de militaire geschiedenis. Het is van architectuur- en bouwhistorisch belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de toepassing van moderne materialen en technieken. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van een groter geheel, dat cultuurhistorisch van belang is en is van belang wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid.
