Inleiding
De KALVERSTAL maakt deel uit van het complex aan de Molendijk 8 in de gemeente Korendijk. De kalverstal staat op het erf aan de rechter zijde evenwijdig aan het woonhuis naast de stal. De kalverstal is in Ambachtelijk-traditionele trant gebouwd in het derde kwart van de negentiende eeuw en heeft sindsdien geen of nauwelijks wijzigingen ondergaan.
Omschrijving
De vanuit een rechthoekige plattegrond, in schone rode baksteen opgetrokken kalverstal staat onder een met rode pannen gedekt zadeldak. De tuitgevel aan de kop bevat een getoogd stalvenster met ijzeren raam en simpele muurankers. In de zijgevel staan een vergelijkbaar venster, een deur met wit geschilderde omlijsting en een grotere gevelopening met een luik. Ook deze gevel is voorzien van eenvoudige muurankers.
Waardering
De kalverstal is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische en de ensemble-waarde.

The CALF SHED forms part of the complex at Molendijk 8 in the municipality of Korendijk. The calf shed stands on the farmyard on the right side parallel to the dwelling house next to the stable. The calf shed was built in Craftsman-traditional style in the third quarter of the nineteenth century and has undergone no or scarcely any alterations since then.
Description
The calf shed, constructed from a rectangular ground plan in fine red brick, stands beneath a gabled roof covered with red tiles. The spout gable at the end contains an arched stable window with an iron frame and simple wall anchors. In the side gable stands a comparable window, a door with white-painted surround and a larger gable opening with a shutter. This gable too is furnished with simple wall anchors.

The calf shed is of general importance by reason of its cultural-historical and ensemble value.
