Inleiding.
Het HEILIG HART-BEELD dat direct ten noorden van de westtoren van de H. Michaëlkerk te Beek staat opgesteld is door Auguste Falise in 1925 in brons gegoten. Het is gesigneerd op de bronzen voetplaat.
Omschrijving.
Het beeld van een zegenende Christus met gevleugeld hart is ca. twee meter hoog en staat op een moderne handvorm bakstenen sokkel. Blijkens een gedenksteen in de sokkel is het beeld ter plaatse door het St. Antoniusgilde in 1982 opgesteld.
Waardering.
Het beeld is van algemeen belang. Het heeft kunsthistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de kerkelijke kunstproductie, in het bijzonder als voorbeeld van het werk van de gerenommeerde beeldhouwer Falise. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een belangrijke bebouwingsgroep.

The SACRED HEART STATUE that is positioned directly north of the west tower of the H. Michaëlkerk in Beek was cast in bronze by Auguste Falise in 1925. It is signed on the bronze base plate.

The statue of a blessing Christ with a winged heart is approximately two metres high and stands on a modern hand-form brick plinth. According to a commemorative stone in the plinth, the statue was placed there by the St. Antoniusgilde in 1982.
