Inleiding
De vrijstaande WAGENSCHUUR behorende bij het boerderijcomplex Kerkweg 3 te Bernisse is waarschijnlijk gebouwd in het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw. De wagenschuur is een voorbeeld van een schuur in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant. Het object staat ten westen van de Vlaamse schuur. Het houtwerk van de schuur is recentelijk vernieuwd. Tevens zijn de inrijdeuren vernieuwd.
Omschrijving
De wagenschuur heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond met één bouwlaag onder een asymmetrisch zadeldak gedekt met gesmoorde hollandse pannen. Het dak, dat met de nok evenwijdig aan de Kerkweg is geplaatst, heeft windveren, bekroond door een makelaar. De goten zijn voorzien van geprofileerde houten lijsten. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in hout.
Waardering
De wagenschuur is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde.

The detached CART SHED belonging to the farm complex at Kerkweg 3 in Bernisse was probably built in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. The cart shed is an example of a barn in Craft-traditional building tradition. The structure stands to the west of the Flemish barn. The woodwork of the barn has recently been renewed. Description
The cart shed has a rectangular floor plan with one storey beneath an asymmetrical gabled roof covered with hipped Dutch tiles. The roof, with the ridge parallel to the Kerkweg, has wind braces, crowned by a ridge finial. The gutters are provided with profiled wooden mouldings. The facades are built of wood.
