Inleiding.
Het terras van Rustoord wordt door een bakstenen KEERMUUR met TRAPPARTIJ en zes opgestelde SIERVAZEN gescheiden van het park. Deze constructie dateert uit omstreeks 1925, heeft in de aanleg elementen van de cottagestijl en is een schenking van het personeel.
Omschrijving.
Het object bestaat uit drie delen: de centrale trappartij met natuurstenen plaveisel en treden, wordt geflankeerd door op bakstenen muren gestelde kunststenen siervazen. Links en rechts van de trappartij zijn bakstenen muren met geïncorporeerde houten banken opgesteld. Op de bakstenen muren staan ook hier elk twee siervazen, identiek aan die bij de trappartij. Alle vazen dragen op de sokkel het opschrift "Personeel Mij. De Utrecht". Onder het paar centraal opgestelde vazen is in de muur een tweetal reliëfs ingemetseld, die betrekking hebben op het vignet van de Levensverzekeringsmaatschappij "De Utrecht"; links de afbeelding van een boomplantende jongeling en rechts een fruitoogstende grijsaard.
Respectievelijk met de tekst: "Voorzorg" en "Vruchten".
Waardering.
De siervazen zijn van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van de sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling van de landbouw en recreatie in Nederland, in het bijzonder de grootschalige ontginning van woeste gronden in de twintigste eeuw. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een groter geheel, het te beschermen grootschalige landgoed 'De Utrecht'. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven en vrij zeldzaam.

The terrace of Rustoord is separated from the park by a brick RETAINING WALL with STAIRCASE and six erected DECORATIVE VASES. This construction dates from around 1925, has elements of cottage style in its design and is a gift from the staff.

The object consists of three parts: the central staircase with natural stone paving and steps, is flanked by cast-stone decorative vases placed on brick walls. To the left and right of the staircase are brick walls with incorporated wooden benches. On the brick walls here too each stand two vases, identical to those at the staircase. All vases bear on the base the inscription "Staff Mij. De Utrecht". Under the pair of centrally placed vases two reliefs are laid into the wall, which relate to the vignette of the life insurance company "De Utrecht"; on the left the depiction of a youth planting a tree and on the right an elderly man harvesting fruit.
Respectively with the text: "Foresight" and "Fruits".

The decorative vases are of general importance. The object has cultural-historical value as an expression of the socio-economic development of agriculture and recreation in the Netherlands, in particular the large-scale cultivation of waste land in the twentieth century.
