Inleiding.
Op een afstand van omstreeks twintig meter ten oosten van Rustoord ligt de bij het vakantieoord behorende, gedeeltelijk ondergronds aangelegde IJSKELDER, daterende uit omstreeks 1925.
Beschrijving.
De in plattegrond globaal cirkelvormige ijskelder bestaat uit een kelder met opgeworpen aarden heuvel, met een doorsnede van circa vijftien meter en een hoogte van ca. vier meter. Aan de noordelijke zijde leidt een bakstenen trap met keermuren en zeven treden naar een klein portaal. Hier heeft men via een dubbele deur toegang tot de eigenlijke kelder. De buitenste deur is een opgeklampte deur in een eiken kozijn, de binnenste is een plaatijzeren deur. In het interieur een gemetseld plafond, gedeeltelijk gecementeerd en uitgevoerd met een ijzeren wapening. Langs de wanden staan ijzeren stellingkasten. Op de kelder groeit een forse kastanje (stamomvang circa 2,5 meter).
Waardering.
De ijskelder is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van de sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling van de landbouw en recreatie in Nederland, in het bijzonder de grootschalige ontginning van woeste gronden in de twintigste eeuw. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een groter geheel, het landgoed 'De Utrecht'. Het is als voorbeeld van een ijskelder vrij zeldzaam.

Introduction.
At a distance of approximately twenty metres to the east of Rustoord lies the ICE CELLAR belonging to the holiday resort, partly constructed underground, dating from around 1925.
Description.
The ice cellar, roughly circular in plan, consists of a cellar with an earth mound piled up, with a diameter of approximately fifteen metres and a height of approximately four metres. On the northern side a brick staircase with retaining walls and seven steps leads to a small portal. Here one gains access to the actual cellar via a double door. The outer door is a clinched door in an oak frame, the inner is a sheet-iron door. In the interior a brick ceiling, partly cemented and constructed with iron reinforcement. Along the walls stand iron storage racks. On the cellar grows a sturdy chestnut tree (girth of trunk approximately 2.5 metres).
Valuation.
The ice cellar is of general importance. The object has cultural-historical value as an expression of the socio-economic development of agriculture and recreation in the Netherlands, in particular the large-scale cultivation of waste land in the twentieth century. It has ensemble values as part of a larger whole, the estate 'De Utrecht'. As an example of an ice cellar it is relatively rare.
