In 1921 vond er wederom een uitbreiding plaats van de bestaande fabrieksruimte aan de Bilderdijkstraat (nrs. 157a-161)van het complex van de voormalige lettergieterij 'Amsterdam', voorheen N. Tetterode. Ditmaal werd een voormalige melkfabriek (Holland) in gebruik genomen. De MELKFABRIEK (3) is in 1898 op een rechthoekig grondplan tot stand gekomen en bestaat uit vijf bouwlagen: een begane grond, drie verdiepingen en een kapverdieping. Het gebouw werd voorafgaand aan de ingebruikname als onderdeel van de lettergieterij in 1921 geheel verbouwd. De onderpui heeft een geheel hardstenen bekleding en wordt gekenmerkt door drie brede gedrukte bogen, waarachter zich iets teruggezet de vensters en toegangsdeuren bevinden. Hierboven bevindt zich een tekstfries: Lettergieterij Amsterdam Voorheen Tetterode. De voorgevel van de voormalige melkfabriek is uitgevoerd in een traditionele baksteenbouw in bruine steen. De decoratieve toepassing van bandwerk en stijlen is uitgevoerd in een gele baksteen. De voorgevel is op de verdiepingen negen vensterassen breed. Het linkerdeel van de gevel is drie vensterassen breed en heeft een tuitgevel onder zadeldak met pannen. De geveltop is fraai gedetailleerd met een driedelig getoogd venster met gemetselde posten en met ezelsrugboog en gepleisterd beschot. Boven de rechte gevelbeëindiging van het rechterdeel van de voorgevel bevindt zich nog een kort opgaand dakschild met pannen. Op de tweede en de derde verdieping zijn drie balkons aangebracht. De balkons hebben een smeedijzeren hekwerk.

In 1921 another extension of the existing factory space at Bilderdijkstraat (nos. 157a-161) took place, part of the complex of the former type foundry 'Amsterdam', formerly N. Tetterode. This time a former milk factory (Holland) was put into use. The MILK FACTORY (3) was built in 1898 on a rectangular ground plan and consists of five storeys: a ground floor, three upper storeys and a roof storey. The building was completely renovated prior to being put into use as part of the type foundry in 1921. The ground floor has a completely hard stone cladding and is characterised by three wide recessed arches, behind which the windows and entrance doors are set back slightly. Above this is a text frieze: Lettergieterij Amsterdam Formerly Tetterode. The front facade of the former milk factory is executed in traditional brick construction in brown stone. The decorative application of bandwork and stiles is executed in yellow brick. On the upper storeys the front facade is nine window bays wide. The left part of the facade is three window bays wide and has a spout gable under a gabled roof with tiles. The gable top is finely detailed with a three-part recessed window with brick posts and a saddle-back arch and plastered boarding. Above the straight termination of the facade of the right part of the front facade is a short rising roof shield with tiles. On the second and third storeys three balconies are installed. The balconies have wrought-iron railings.
Evaluation
Former milk factory of general importance due to its architectural historical value and due to its typological value as a milk factory. Furthermore, as a later extension of the type foundry, it is of importance as a historical-functional component of the Tetterode complex.
