Inleiding

LANDHUIS genaamd Het Dok met bijbehorende TUIN en TUINHUISJE. Het huis is in 1906-1907 gebouwd in neorenaissancestijl door architect H. van Heeswijk en is gelegen in een bosrijke omgeving langs de Rijksstraatweg. Het tuinhuisje dateert van 1926. De tuin vertoont restanten van een in Gemengde tuinstijl aangelegde tuin met waterpartij.

Omschrijving

Landhuis op samengestelde plattegrond, bestaande uit twee verdiepingen onder een samengesteld schilddak met steekkappen. Dekking van leien in Rijndekking. Gevels opgetrokken in rode baksteen in kruisverband, met natuurstenen speklagen en aanzet-, en sluitstenen in bogen, strekken boven vensters en deuren. Waterlijst die tevens dienst doet als lekdorpel ter hoogte van vensters. Smeedijzeren sierankers. Vensters met schuiframen en diverse vensters met glas-in-lood.

Voorgevel met rechts risalerend geveldeel met trapgevel voor steekkap. Bovenop trapgevel zandstenen leeuw met schild. Op BG een uitgebouwde erker waarboven gemetselde borstwering. Links van dit risalerend deel vlak geveldeel met op de begane grond twee deuren met bovenlicht en op verdieping (recht boven deuren) vensters met dubbel bovenlicht onder boogvelden Rechts van risalerend deel vlak geveldeel met op op de begane grond een smalle deur met zijlicht en bovenlichten en op verdieping samengesteld venster onder boogveld.

Achtergevel rechts terugwijkend met op de begane grond een eenlaagse erker, hout met samengestelde vensters over gehele breedte, waarboven balkon met houten balustrade. Op verdieping deuren naar balkon met bovenlicht. In linkergeveldeel op de begane grond driedelig samengesteld venster en op verdieping tweedelig venster met bovenlicht.

Linker zijgevel heeft rechts een risalerend deel met trapgevel, onder steekkap. In dit risalerende deel zowel op de begane grond als verdieping drie smalle hoge vensters, in top een tweedelig venster. In terugliggend geveldeel links hiervan zowel op de begane grond als verdieping drie vensters met bovenlichten. In het dak diverse types dakkapellen.

INTERIEUR. De plategrondindeling is gewijzigd, er zijn echter nog diverse interieuronderdelen aanwezig. Noemenswaard zijn onder meer het trappenhuis en drie marmeren schouwen waarvan een met een schouwstuk.
