Inleiding complexonderdeel 2
Voormalige SCHUUR in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant is omstreeks 1830 gebouwd als onderdeel van de boerderij 'Meijendel'. De schuur staat aan de westzijde, tussen de boerderij en de veestal, aan het vroegere erf waaromheen de diverse complexonderdelen van de boerderij zijn gegroepeerd. De nokrichting loopt in noord-zuidrichting.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande éénlaagse schuur op een rechthoekig grondvlak, welke wordt gedekt door een zadeldak, dat naar achter toe (in westelijke richting) overgaat in een lessenaarsdak. Het dak is gedekt met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen. De wit geschilderde, gepleisterde gevels zijn voorzien van een zwart geschilderd plint. De aan erfzijde gelegen langsgevel (oost) heeft van links naar rechts twee dubbele tweeruits ramen met rechts ervan een houten deuren van kraaldelen. De relatief lage achtergevel is blind. De noordelijke kopgevel heeft op de begane grond een tweeruits dubbel openslaand raam en op de verdieping een (vernieuwd) vierruits raam. De zuidelijke kopgevel heeft op de begane grond links een vernieuwde deur met zijlicht en op de verdieping een vierruits raam (kelderluik).
INWENDIG is voor een deel de houtconstructie met spanten en standvinken gehandhaafd.

De (voormalige) schuur is van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde
- als ruimtelijk en functioneel onderdeel van een duinboerderij uit het tweede kwart van de 19de eeuw, die is ontstaan als experimenteel project van de ontginning van duinvlakte naar aanleiding van een prijsvraag uit 1816 van de 'Maatschappij ter bevordering van den Landbouw'.

Description
Detached single-storey barn on a rectangular ground plan, covered by a gabled roof, which transitions towards the rear (in a westerly direction) into a sloped roof. The roof is covered with red improved Dutch tiles. The white-painted, plastered facades are provided with a black-painted plinth. The long facade on the farm side (east) has, from left to right, two double two-pane windows with a wooden door made of bead panels to the right of these. The relatively low rear facade is blank. The northern end gable has on the ground floor a double two-pane casement window and on the upper level a (renewed) four-pane window. The southern end gable has on the ground floor a renewed door with sidelight on the left and on the upper level a four-pane window (cellar hatch).
INTERNALLY, the timber construction with roof trusses and braces has been retained in part.
