Inleiding complexonderdeel 7
Het (voormalig) KOETSHUIS met inpandige dienstwoning behorend bij de historische buitenplaats Voorlinden, is gebouwd in 1912 in in Engelse Cottagestijl. Het koetshuis is in 1921 door Swaneveld en Bos aan de westzijde uitgebreid met een stalgebouw, waardoor het oorspronkelijke winkelhaakvormige gebouw een U-vormige plattegrond gekregen.
Omschrijving
Koetshuis van één bouwlaag op U-vormige plattegrond onder schilddaken met rode leipannen. De in rode baksteen opgetrokken gevels zijn gedeeltelijk aangesmeerd met ruw pleisterwerk. Recht gesloten draaivensters met kleine roedenverdeling.
Symmetrische voorgevel (oost) met grote dubbele inrijdeur en halfrond bovenlicht onder rondboog (doorrit) in een midddenrisaliet onder afgewolfde steekkap. In de westgevel aan de binnenplaats een identieke grote dubbele deur van de doorrit en twee vensters. Aan weerszijden van de risaliet aan elke kant twee vensters en in het dakschild vier dakkapellen in de vensterassen. In de zuidgevel aan de binnenplaats een opgeklampte staldeur met zijlicht in een iets uitgebouwd portaal onder doorgetrokken dakschild. Tweede entree onder hooiluik in dakkapel. De noordgevel is nagenoeg blind op enkele kleine stalramen direct onder de overkragende gootlijst na. Hoog opgaand risaliet met deur en bovenin een samengesteld, om de hoek lopend, venster met kleine roedenverdeling. De geveltop van de risaliet onder steekkap is bekleed met gepotdekseld hout.
INTERIEUR. De oorspronkelijke indeling van het koetshuis is grotendeels bewaard gebleven. In de vleugel met de doorrit een tuigkamer met hoge wandbetimmering waarin een tuigkast en schouw met spiegel zijn opgenomen. In het stalgedeelte betegelde wanden (stermotief omsingeld door riemmotief) en orginele paardenboxen met houten schotten en ijzeren traliewerk, afgesloten door gietijzeren kolommetjes met koperen knop.
Waardering
Het uit 1912 daterende koetshuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur-, architectuurhistorische en stedebouwkundige waarde als historisch functioneel en ruimtelijke onderdeel van de buitenplaats Voorlinden en vanwege de Engelse Cottagestijl.
Het pand is nagenoeg gaaf in hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering, zowel uit- als inwendig.

The (former) COACH HOUSE with incorporated service cottage belonging to the historic country estate Voorlinden was built in 1912 in English Cottage style. The coach house was extended in 1921 by Swaneveld and Bos on the west side with a stable building, whereby the original L-shaped building acquired a U-shaped plan.
Description
Coach house of one storey on U-shaped plan beneath hipped roofs with red slate tiles. The elevations, constructed in red brick, are partly finished with rough render. Straight-closing pivoting windows with small glazing bars.
Symmetrical front elevation (east) with large double entrance doors and semi-circular fanlight beneath a round arch (carriage passage) in a central risalit beneath a vaulted roof. In the west elevation facing the courtyard an identical large double door of the carriage passage and two windows. On either side of the risalit on each side two windows and in the roof slope four roof dormers in the window axes. In the south elevation facing the courtyard a clamped stable door with side light in a slightly projecting porch beneath continuous roof. Second entrance beneath hay loft in roof dormer. The north elevation is virtually blind except for a few small stable windows directly beneath the overhanging gutter line. Tall rising risalit with door and above a composite window running around the corner with small glazing bars. The gable top of the risalit beneath a roof is clad with timber boarding with roll-tile finish.
INTERIOR. The original layout of the coach house has been largely preserved. In the wing with the carriage passage a tack room with high wall panelling in which a tack cupboard and chimney with mirror are incorporated. In the stable section tiled walls (star motif surrounded by strap motif) and original horse boxes with timber partitions and iron railwork, closed off by cast iron columns with brass knobs.
Valuation
The coach house dating from 1912 is of general importance because of its cultural, architectural-historical and urban planning value as a historic functional and spatial component of the country estate Voorlinden and because of the English Cottage style.
The building is virtually intact in principal form, materials and detailing, both externally and internally.
