De TUINAANLEG in de Nieuw Architectonische Tuinstijl behorend bij de buitenplaats Arcadia dateert waarschijnlijk uit de bouwtijd van het landhuis uit het eind van de jaren '10 van de 20ste eeuw. Met handhaving van het oorspronkelijk, enigszins geaccidenteerde, karakter van het duinbos, is rondom het huis een geometrisch tuin aangelegd. De tuinaanleg concentreert zich rondom het huis. Mede door de terrasaanleg wordt de tuin als voortzetting van het huis gezien. Aan de zuidzijde van de tuin, tussen de schuur bij de tuinmanswoning en de chauffeurswoning lag oorspronkelijk de moestuin.
Omschrijving
Het karakter van de tuin wordt rondom in hoofdlijnen bepaald door restanten van een duinbos, dat voornamelijk uit eikenbomen bestaat, waarvan verschillende oude exemplaren. De geometrisch tuinaanleg is opgebouwd uit meerdere niveaus en concentreert zich ten zuidoosten van het huis. Het is deels vereenvoudigd en een groot gazon. Langs de zuidoostelijk begrenzing staan vooral veel taxussen; tevens een rijke aanplant met rododendrons. Rondom het gazon diverse borders, waaronder één die via een lus aan de zuidoostzijde aansluit op het terras van ten zuidwesten van het huis.
Voor de achtergevel ligt een verhoogd, uit rode baksteen opgetrokken terras met natuurstenen balustrade. Het heeft een symmetrisch opgezet met concave en rechte uitstulpingen, die uitkomen bij een terras dat in de middenas van het as is gelegen. In het verlengde hiervan ligt een grindpad dat uitkomt bij de trap van een cirkelvormig gemetseld verlaagd gedeelte. Rondom het cirkelvormige gedeelte ligt een iets verhoogd, door lavabrokken begrensde border/gras, waar enkele loofbomen zijn geplant. In het middelpunt van de cirkel is een waterpartij verdiept gelegen een waterpartij, die een rechthoekige vorm heeft met halfcirkelvormige uitstulpingen. Centraal is een uit lavabrokken opgebouwde fontein geplaatst.
Waardering
De tuinaanleg behorende bij de buitenplaats Arcadia is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en tuinhistorische waarde als redelijk gaaf en in hoofdlijnen goed herkenbaar tuinaanleg in de Nieuw-Architectonische Tuinstijl uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw.
De tuinaanleg is in hoofdlijnen, qua materiaalgebruik en de detaillering goed herkenbaar.

The GARDEN LAYOUT in the New Architectural Garden Style belonging to the country estate Arcadia probably dates from the construction period of the country house from the end of the 1910s of the 20th century. With retention of the original, somewhat uneven, character of the dune woodland, a geometric garden has been laid out around the house. The garden layout concentrates around the house. Partly through the terrace layout, the garden is seen as a continuation of the house. On the south side of the garden, between the barn at the gardener's residence and the chauffeur's residence, the vegetable garden originally lay.
Description
The character of the garden is determined in broad outline all around by remnants of a dune woodland, consisting principally of oak trees, of which several old specimens. The geometric garden layout is built up of multiple levels and concentrates to the southeast of the house. It is partly simplified and largely lawn. Along the southeastern boundary, particularly many yews are planted; also a rich planting with rhododendrons. Around the lawn various borders, including one that via a loop at the southeast side connects to the terrace of the southwest of the house.
In front of the rear facade lies a raised terrace constructed of red brick with a natural stone balustrade. It is laid out symmetrically with concave and straight projections, which terminate at a terrace located in the central axis of the axis. In line with this lies a gravel path leading to the stairs of a circular masonry recessed section. Around the circular section lies a slightly raised border/grass bordered by lava blocks, where several deciduous trees are planted. At the midpoint of the circle a water feature is sunken, a water feature that has a rectangular form with semicircular projections. Centrally a fountain built from lava blocks has been placed.
