Inleiding complexonderdeel 2
Behorende bij de buitenplaats Arcadia twee paar HEKPIJLERS in een Historiserende stijl uitgevoerd met vergelijkbaar materiaal gebruik als het landhuis. De pijlers staan aan weerszijden langs de Schouwweg.
N.B. De toegangshekken zijn vernieuwd en van bescherming uitgesloten.
Omschrijving
Boven van waalklinkers opgetrokken trasraam met afgesloten wordt door een rollaag zijn op een vierkant grondvlak, twee paar hekpijlers opgetrokken uit rode Waalsteen. Ze worden afgedekt door geprofileerde natuurstenen dekplaten, waarop smeedijzeren lantaarns zijn geplaatst, waarvan de staanders met decoratief gekruld smeedwerk over de zijkanten van de pijlers doorlopen.
Waardering
De hekpijlers zijn van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als functioneel en stilistische onderdeel van de buitenplaats Arcadia. Het toegangshek is gaaf wat betreft hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering.

Belonging to the country estate Arcadia two pairs of GATE PILLARS executed in a Historicist style using comparable material as the country house. The pillars stand on either side along the Schouwweg.

Description
Above a brick foundation built up with a travertine frame, which is closed off by a header course, two pairs of gate pillars are erected from red Walloon stone on a square ground plan. They are capped with profiled natural stone coping plates, on which wrought-iron lanterns are placed, the uprights of which run with decoratively curled wrought ironwork over the sides of the pillars.
Assessment
The gate pillars are of general importance because of their cultural and architectural-historical value as a functional and stylistic component of the country estate Arcadia. The access gate is in good condition with regard to main form, material use and detailing.
The pillars have clear situational and ensemble value through their spatial coherence with the other complex components and their image-defining location along the Schouwweg as the entrance to the country estate.
