Bij de buitenplaats Ter Veken behorende TOEGANGSHEK met BRUG vormgegeven in Ambachtelijke-traditionele bouwstijl uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw met een voor landhuizen representatieve verschijningsvorm.
Omschrijving
Vlakke gemetselde brug met schuin geplaatste landhoofden is opgetrokken van grauwe baksteen. Op een relatief lage borstwering met natuurstenen hoekblokken en neuten staat aan weerszijden een hekwerk, bestaande uit gietijzeren balusters met dubbele buizen liggers. Aan tuinzijde bevindt zich een ijzeren dubbel toegangshek met vleugelstukken. Het bestaat aan de onderzijde uit ijzeren platen met daarboven spijlen, voorzien van gietijzeren speerpunten. De vleugelstukken zijn uitgevoerd met weerhaken. Aan weerszijden van het hek staat een op een hoge gietijzeren paal een ijzeren lantaarn.

Het toegangshek met brug is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde door de ruimtelijke en functionele samenhang met de overige complexonderdelen, behorend bij de buitenplaats Ter Veken en vanwege de gaafheid in hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering. Accessway gate with bridge belonging to the country estate Ter Veken, designed in artisanal-traditional building style from the beginning of the 20th century with an appearance representative of country houses.
Description
Flat mortared bridge with obliquely placed abutments is constructed of grey brick. On a relatively low parapet with natural stone corner blocks and quoins, on either side stands a railing consisting of cast iron balusters with double tube beams. On the garden side there is an iron double entrance gate with wing sections. It consists at the bottom of iron plates with above them spires, furnished with cast iron spear points. The wing sections are executed with barbs. On either side of the gate stands on a tall cast iron post an iron lantern.
