Inleiding
Op het terrein van Duin en Bosch gelegen BOERDERIJ in Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl gebouwd in opdracht van koning Willem I als modelboerderij ten behoeve van de ontginning van de kuststrook. De boerderij, uit de eerste helft negentiende eeuw, is dus ouder dan het omringende complex. Tegenwoordig is de boerderij in gebruik als ziekenhuismuseum. De indeling van het interieur is niet meer oorspronkelijk en de kap vernieuwd. De boerderij ligt in een ruime groenaanleg.
Omschrijving
Op een rechthoekige plattegrond in rood/grauw bakstenen kruisverband opgetrokken bouwlichaam onder een met rode, oude holle pannen gedekt zadeldak met achterschild. Midden op de nok bevindt zich een forse vierkante schoorsteen. Rondom, behalve aan de westzijde, loopt een zwart geschilderde plint. De zuidelijke langsgevel heeft rechts een opgeklampte deur met een klein venster naar het woongedeelte en links de opgeklampte dubbele inrijdeuren. Centraal is een dubbel zesruits raam geplaatst. Tegen de muurplaat is een plank getimmerd waaronder schootankers. De westelijke korte gevel heeft in het gepotdekselde en geteerde beschot een opgeklampte deur naar de voormalige hooizolder. De gepleisterde en oorspronkelijk blinde parterre wordt door twee lisenen in drie traveeën geleed. De oostelijke korte zijde heeft twee kleine vensters.
De noordelijke lange zijde heeft links een ijzeren, zespas rond stalraam, in het midden een eenvoudig rechthoekig zesruitsraam en rechts drie kleine stalramen.
Waardering
De boerderij uit de eerste helft van de negentiende eeuw is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische en typologische waarde als gaaf voorbeeld van een door koning Willem I gestichte ontginningsboerderij en, in een latere periode, als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het ziekenhuiscomplex Duin en Bosch. Vanwege de architectonische vormgeving in traditioneel-ambachtelijke stijl.

Introduction
A FARMHOUSE located on the grounds of Duin en Bosch, built in Craft-traditional style on the orders of King William I as a model farm for the purposes of developing the coastal strip. The farmhouse, from the first half of the nineteenth century, is thus older than the surrounding complex. Today the farmhouse is in use as a hospital museum. The interior arrangement is no longer original and the roof truss structure has been renewed. The farmhouse is situated in spacious landscaping.
Description
A building block erected on a rectangular ground plan in red/grey brick stretcher bond under a gabled roof covered with red, old hollow tiles with rear slope. In the middle of the ridge is a substantial square chimney. All around, except on the west side, runs a black-painted plinth. The southern long facade has on the right a bolted door with a small window to the residential section and on the left the bolted double carriage doors. Centrally a double six-light window is placed. Against the wall plate a plank is fitted beneath which are wall anchors. The western short gable has in the coped and tarred boarding a bolted door to the former hayloft. The plastered and originally blind ground storey is divided into three bays by two pilasters. The eastern short side has two small windows.
The northern long side has on the left an iron, seven-light arched stable window, in the middle a simple rectangular six-light window and on the right three small stable windows.
Valuation
The farmhouse from the first half of the nineteenth century is of general importance because of its cultural-historical and typological value as an intact example of a land development farmhouse founded by King William I and, in a later period, as a historical-functional component of the hospital complex Duin en Bosch. Because of its architectural design in traditional-craft style.
