Inleiding
Het POMPHUISJE is gelegen aan de oostzijde van de Veerdam, op de dijk en is gebouwd tegelijk met het er tegenover, onder aan de dijk gelegen gemaal, aan de westzijde van de Veerdam. De beide gebouwen zijn rond 1930 gebouwd en vertonen de karakteristieken van de interbellumarchitectuur, met een grote invloed van de Delftse school.
Het gebouwtje is, gelet op het afwijkende metselverband ten opzichte van het gemaal, mogelijk geheel nieuw opgemetseld.
Omschrijving
Het in kruisverband gemetselde bakstenen gebouw is opgetrokken op rechthoekige grondslag en telt, op dijkniveau, één bouwlaag onder een met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen gedekt, ver overstekend zadeldak. De gevels zijn blind, op een deur in de linker zijgevel na.

Pomphuisje uit ca 1930.
- Van architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een pomphuisje, gebouwd in een interbellumstijl met invloeden van de Delftse school. Het gebouw heeft ensemblewaarde met het er tegenover onder aan de dijk gelegen gemaal.

Introduction
The PUMP HOUSE is located on the east side of the Veerdam, on the dike and was built at the same time as the pumping station opposite it, situated at the foot of the dike on the west side of the Veerdam. Both buildings were constructed around 1930 and exhibit the characteristics of interwar architecture, with considerable influence from the Delft School.
The building, given the different bonding pattern compared to the pumping station, may have been entirely newly constructed.
Description
The brick building, constructed in cross bonding, is erected on a rectangular ground plan and comprises, at dike level, one storey beneath a steeply overhanging gabled roof covered with red improved Dutch tiles. The facades are blank, with the exception of a door in the left side gable.
