Inleiding
Het HEILIG HARTBEELD is opgericht rond 1925 en uitgevoerd in in Art Décostijl. Het beeld staat ver van de openbare weg, aan de zijde van het kerkhof in een bosrijk gedeelte. In de loop van de tijd zijn onderdelen van het beeld verdwenen.
Omschrijving
Het natuurstenen beeld rust op een rechthoekige grondplaat, waarop een drieledige verspringende sokkel beelden van Christus met engelen aan weerskanten. De linkersokkel bezit een wapen met leeuw, de rechtersokkel heeft een wapenschild waarop een griffioen met een bundel in de bek staat afgebeeld. De middelste sokkel is voorzien van een kruis; stenen banden verbinden de voorstellingen onderling.
Hierop staat de tekst: Maren aan Zijn Koning.
De christusfiguur staat op een wereldbol en kijkt recht vooruit, de armen omlaag wijzend naar de geknielde engelen. De handen ontbreken. Hij draagt een kazuifel met randdecoratie en heeft op de borst een heilig hart met stralenkrans. Om het hoofd een stenen aureool.
De gestileerde gevleugelde engelen bezitten eveneens een aureool, al is dit bij de engel links deels afgebroken. Beide engelen ontberen handen en de vleugeltippen.
Waardering
Het Heilig Hartbeeld is van algemeen belang. The SACRED HEART STATUE was erected around 1925 and executed in Art Deco style. The statue stands far from the public road, beside the cemetery in a wooded area. Over time, parts of the statue have been lost.

The natural stone statue rests on a rectangular base, on which a three-part recessed plinth bears figures of Christ with angels on either side. The left plinth has a shield with a lion, the right plinth has a coat of arms with a griffin holding a bundle in its beak. The middle plinth is provided with a cross; stone bands connect the representations to each other.
