Omschrijving onderdeel D Het HEKWERK is een smeedijzeren spijlenhek in de heg. In een bocht van de Appeldijk bevindt zich een toegang in de heg en hier bevindt zich een dubbel draaihek. Het draaihek dat zich hier oorspronkelijk bevond, is elders op het terrein hergebruikt.
Waardering HEKWERK (complexonderdeel D) uit omstreeks 1898
- Van architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf en goed voorbeeld van een hekwerk met dubbel draaihek uit smeedijzer, die hoge ensemblewaarden met de andere complexonderdelen bezit.
