GEBOUW G Inleiding
Dit fabrieksgebouw was vroeger een gedeelte van de in 1972/73 stopgezette GIETERIJ 1 uit 1895. De aanliggende bebouwing aan de oost- en zuidzijde is afgebroken. Het gebouw maakt deel uit van de ten dele gesloten oostelijke gevelwand van de fabrieksstraat Olde Hutstraat.
Omschrijving
Het pand is gebouwd op een rechthoekig grondplan en telt één bouwlaag onder een licht geknikt zadeldak met bitumineuze bedekking. Het dak wordt ondersteund door een Polonçeau-spant met vier velden.
De gevels zijn opgetrokken in roodbruine baksteen. Langs de westgevel loopt een uitgemetselde plint. In de oorspronkelijke situatie was alleen de westgevel volledig zichtbaar en een klein gedeelte van de noordelijke kopgevel. Na afbraak van de omliggende bebouwing zijn ook de oost- en zuidgevel in het zicht gekomen.
De WESTGEVEL wordt door gemetselde pilasters verticaal geleed in acht traveeën. Elke travee bevat een segmentboogvormig, ijzeren raam met roedenverdeling. Op twee plaatsen is het raam vervangen door een grote schuifdeur. Ter hoogte van de gootlijst worden de pilasters verbonden door een trapsgewijze uitkragende rand metselwerk ter beëindiging van het gevelvlak.
In het deel van de kopgevel (NOORDGEVEL) dat zichtbaar is bevinden zich drie segmentboogvormige, ijzeren ramen met oorspronkelijk in het midden daarboven, een rond, ijzeren raam dat nu is dichtgemetseld.
De ZUIDGEVEL en de OOSTGEVEL zijn nu afgewerkt met damwandprofielen.
Waardering
- Van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege het goede en redelijk gave voorbeeld van een fabrieksgebouw uit 1895. Het dak wordt ondersteund door een Polonçeau-spant met vier velden.

This factory building was formerly part of FOUNDRY 1 from 1895, which was shut down in 1972/73. The adjoining buildings on the east and south sides have been demolished. The building forms part of the partially enclosed eastern facade wall of the factory street Olde Hutstraat.
Description
The building is constructed on a rectangular ground plan and has one storey under a slightly bent gabled roof with bituminous covering. The roof is supported by a Polonçeau roof truss with four bays.
The facades are built in reddish-brown brick. Along the west facade runs a rendered plinth. In the original situation only the west facade was fully visible and a small part of the northern gable end. After demolition of the surrounding buildings, the east and south facades also came into view.
The WEST FACADE is articulated vertically by rendered pilasters into eight bays. Each bay contains a segmental-arched, iron window with glazing bars. In two places the window has been replaced by a large sliding door. At the level of the gutter line, the pilasters are connected by a stepped projecting line of brickwork to terminate the facade plane.
In the part of the gable end (NORTH FACADE) that is visible there are three segmental-arched, iron windows with originally in the middle above, a round, iron window that is now bricked up.
The SOUTH FACADE and the EAST FACADE are now finished with sheet-pile profiles.
Assessment
