Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 9: KOETSHUIS (Groenendaal).
Voormalig koetshuis uit de late 18de-eeuw van één bouwlaag onder met pannen gedekte zadeldaken. Het koetshuis is gebouwd in een U-vorm bestaande uit een dwars deel met twee vooruitspringende vleugels, waardoor een klein voorplein ontstaat. Het geheel is gepleisterd en voorzien van natuurstenen pilasters. Voorts vensters en deurpartijen in laat 18de-eeuwse stijl, vermoedelijk bij restauratie (groten)deels vernieuwd. Tegen de zuidgevel is vermoedelijk later in de trant van de architectuur van het koetshuis een serre (oranjerie?) gebouwd. Het koetshuis is thans in gebruik als restaurant.

Het koetshuis is van belang:
- als functioneel onderdeel van de buitenplaats;
- vanwege de verzorgde architectuur in neoklassieke stijl.

Description
Description of component 9: COACHHOUSE (Groenendaal).
Former coachhouse from the late 18th century of one storey under saddle roofs covered with tiles. The coachhouse is built in a U-shape consisting of a transverse part with two projecting wings, creating a small forecourt. The whole is plastered and provided with natural stone pilasters. Furthermore windows and door arrangements in late 18th-century style, presumably largely renewed upon restoration. Against the south façade a conservatory (orangery?) was presumably built later in keeping with the architecture of the coachhouse. The coachhouse is now in use as a restaurant.
Valuation
The coachhouse is of significance:
- as a functional component of the country estate;
- on account of the carefully designed architecture in neoclassical style.
