Inleiding
Voormalige PERISTYLE, behorende tot het complex "Middlesex", gebouwd 1928 in expressionistische bouwtrant, naar het ontwerp van J. London. De peristyle staat aan de noordzijde van het landhuis met atelier, aan de zuidzijde van de Soestdijkerstraatweg, in het pad dat vanaf de noordoostzijde voor het complex langs loopt.
Omschrijving
De peristyle is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een ver overstekend schilddak op gemetselde pijlers. Het door twee pirons bekroonde dak heeft de noklijn evenwijdig aan de weg en is bedekt met gesmoorde pannen. De oost- en westzijde van de peristyle zijn open, de noord- en zuidzijde hebben borstweringen, terwijl dwars geplaatste muurtjes een open verbinding leggen met de noordgevel van landhuis met atelier.

Introduction
Former PERISTYLE, belonging to the complex "Middlesex", built 1928 in expressionist architectural style, designed by J. London. The peristyle stands on the north side of the manor house with studio, on the south side of the Soestdijkerstraatweg, in the path that runs along the complex from the north-east side.
Description
The peristyle is constructed on a rectangular ground plan under a far-projecting hipped roof on masonry piers. The roof crowned by two acroteria has the ridge line parallel to the road and is covered with pantiles. The east and west sides of the peristyle are open, the north and south sides have parapets, whilst transversely placed walls create an open connection with the north facade of the manor house with studio.
Valuation
The peristyle is of general importance for its architectural and cultural-historical value as part of the complex "Middlesex", in expressionist architectural style from the first quarter of the 20th century, built according to the design of J. London.
