Inleiding
In een eenvoudige Traditioneel-ambachtelijke trant gebouwd KOETSHUIS, onderdeel van het complex Villa Jorissen. Het kleine koetshuis staat rechtsachter het huis en dateert waarschijnlijk uit de bouwtijd van het huis ca. 1893-1895.
Omschrijving
Het vanuit een rechthoekige plattgerond, in schone baksteen opgebouwde kleine koetshuis staat onder een met rode kruispannen (voorste dakschild) en tuiles du nord (achterste dakschild) gedekt zadeldak. De gevels worden verlevendigd door dunne banden gele verblendsteen.
De naar de straat gekeerde langsgevel bevat links een licht getoogde, onder strek staande deur en rechts de dubbele, onder een latei staande inrijdeuren. De inrijdeuren zijn twee gekoppelde vouwdeuren met er hoog in geplaatste ramen. De symmetrische linker kopgevel heeft op de begane grond een venster met kruisraam en een kleiner zoldervenster, die beide staan onder een strek met getoogde onderrand. De achterste langsgevel is blind. Er is een laag rechthoekig schuurtje met plat dak en deur tegen aangebouwd.

Het koetshuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische en de ensemblewaarde.

A CARRIAGE HOUSE built in a simple traditional-craft manner, part of the Villa Jorissen complex. The small carriage house stands to the rear right of the house and dates probably from the building period of the house c. 1893-1895.
Description
The small carriage house, built from a rectangular ground plan in finished brickwork, stands beneath a gabled roof covered with red French tiles (front roof slope) and tuiles du nord (rear roof slope). The facades are enlivened by thin bands of yellow facing brick.
The side facade facing the street contains on the left a slightly arched door standing beneath a stretcher and on the right the double carriage doors standing beneath a lintel. The carriage doors are two coupled folding doors with windows positioned high up. The symmetrical left gable end has on the ground floor a window with a cross window and a smaller attic window, both standing beneath a stretcher with an arched underside. The rear side facade is blind. There is a low rectangular small barn with a flat roof and door attached against the building.

The carriage house is of general importance on account of its cultural-historical and ensemble value.
