Inleiding
SCHOONMAKERIJ, onderdeel uitmakend van het complex meelfabriek 'De Sleutels', gebouwd in 1937, in een bouwtrant met kenmerken van het Nieuwe Bouwen en Zakelijk -Expressionisme. De schoonmakerij is gesitueerd aan de fabrieksstraat op het midden van het fabrieksterrein en ligt met de eindgevels ingeklemd tussen aangrenzende gebouwen. De schoonmakerij bezit een rechthoekig grondplan en is begane gronds in rode baksteen en naar boven in gele baksteen (noords verband) opgetrokken.
Omschrijving
De westgevel wordt gekenmerkt door lintvensters, bestaande uit door stalen roeden ingedeelde ramen met boven geschakelde kantelende delen en hijsluiken in staal en glas, gevat tussen een doorlopende kunststenen dorpel en overstek. De tweede bouwlaag wijkt als enige van de acht in hoogte af. Geheel links op de scheidingslijn met het ketelhuis komt over alle verdiepingen een uitgemetseld kanaal voor. De sinds sloop van een naastgelegen gebouw deels vrijliggende oostgevel heeft een betonnen klampmuur. Het interieur bestaat uit een volledig vrijdragend gewapend betonskelet en is voorzien van houten vloerdelen.

CLEANING PLANT, component of the flour mill complex 'De Sleutels', built in 1937, in an architectural style with characteristics of the New Building movement and Functionalist Expressionism. Description
The west gable is characterized by ribbon windows, consisting of windows divided by steel glazing bars with pivoting sections hinged above and steel and glass hoisting shutters, set between a continuous artificial stone sill and overhang.
