Omschrijving
Lage bakstenen TUINMUUR met negen terra-cotta BEELDEN en fragmenten van beelden (7), gesitueerd aan de zuidzijde van de oprijlaan ter hoogte van Huize Uytterwaerde. Deze van de Opijnensche Steenfabriek afkomstige beelden zijn waarschijnlijk grotendeels naar ontwerp van de beeldhouwer H.A. VAN DEN EIJNDE (1869-1939). De beelden zijn waarschijnlijk overgebleven proefstukken en zijn vermoedelijk in de jaren 1913-1916 en 1926-1928 (uitbreiding) tot stand gekomen. De tegen de tuinmuur geplaatste sculpturen betreffen merendeels exotische figuren. De uiterst links geplaatste admiraalsfiguur verbeeldt de persoon F.P. van den Broecke, vervaardigd naar een ontwerp van H.A. VAN DEN EIJNDE voor de gevel van het Scheepvaarthuis aan de Buiten Bantammerstraat te Amsterdam. De vrouw met trekharmonica, de drager, de mannen met manden, de personen met mantel en de vrouwenfiguren zijn allen vervaardigd naar een ontwerp van H.A. VAN DEN EIJNDE voor het gebouw van de Rotterdamse Lloyd aan de Korte Vijverberg 5 in Den Haag. De beelden vormen de personificatie van de steden die Lloyd aandeed. De zwaaiende vrouwenfiguur vormt de personificatie van de stad Rotterdam. Eén van de personen met de mantel vormt de personificatie van de stad Algiers.

Description
Low brick GARDEN WALL with nine terra-cotta SCULPTURES and fragments of sculptures (7), situated on the south side of the drive at the level of Huize Uytterwaerde. These sculptures from the Opijnensche Steenfabriek are probably largely designed by sculptor H.A. VAN DEN EIJNDE (1869-1939). The sculptures are probably remaining test pieces and were probably created in the years 1913-1916 and 1926-1928 (extension). The sculptures placed against the garden wall are mostly exotic figures. The admiral figure placed at the far left depicts the person F.P. van den Broecke, made after a design by H.A. VAN DEN EIJNDE for the facade of the Scheepvaarthuis at Buiten Bantammerstraat in Amsterdam.
