Inleiding
De zandstenen DORPSPOMP uit 1871 op het centrale dorpsplein van Warmond is recentelijk gerestaureerd.
Omschrijving
Rechthoekige zandstenen dorpspomp met afgeronde hoeken op vierkant basement. De schacht is voorzien van spaarvelden met een zwart geschilderde omlijsting en cirkel met stervormig ornament. De pomp wordt afgedekt door drie dekstukken en bekroond met een sierbol.
Koperen wateruitlaat en ijzeren zwengel. Vijfhoekige put met tralierooster.
Waardering
De waterpomp is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als redelijk gaaf en representatief voorbeeld van een dorpspomp.
De pomp is in hoge mate van stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de beeldbepalende situering op het dorpsplein, in de nabijheid van het oude gemeentehuis en de school met schoolmeesterswoning, in de dorpskern van Warmond.

Rectangular sandstone village pump with rounded corners on a square base. The shaft is provided with saving panels with black-painted surround and circle with star-shaped ornament. The pump is covered by three cap stones and crowned with an ornamental ball.
Copper water spout and iron pump handle. Pentagonal well with lattice grate.

The water pump is of general importance for its cultural and architectural-historical value as a reasonably well-preserved and representative example of a village pump.
The pump is of high urban design importance due to its character-defining location on the village square, in the vicinity of the old town hall and the school with schoolmaster's cottage, in the village centre of Warmond.
