Inleiding
GEMEENTEHUIS in Eclecticistische trant uit omstreeks 1857, gelegen aan het vierkante dorpsplein langs de Dorpsstraat in de oude dorpskern van Warmond. De hoofdfaçade (zuidoost) grenst aan het plein, de zuidwestgevel aan de Dorpsstraat. De noordwestgevel gaat schuil achter het naastgelegen pand en de noordwestgevel ligt aan een binnentuin. Het interieur is met behoud van enkele oorspronkelijke elementen gewijzigd in verband met de nieuwe functie. Bij de restauratie is de bordestrap met het smeedijzeren hek vernieuwd.
Omschrijving
Pand op rechthoekige plattegrond met souterrain en bel-etage onder schilddak met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. Aan het plein en de Dorpsstraat gepleisterde gevels met schijnvoegen, spaarvelden, hoekpilasters en meanderende waterlijst. Boven het gepleisterde fries een geprofileerde overkragende gootlijst.
In de vijf-assige symmetrische voorgevel (zuidoost) aan het plein een centrale verhoogde entree in een gepleisterd middenrisaliet met geknikt fronton. Een met natuurstenen platen gedekte bordestrap leidt naar de dubbele houten paneeldeur met cirkelvormig ornament als in de hoekpilasters. Bovenlicht met sierroedenverdeling onder geprofileerde segmentboog met kuif. Daarboven het wapen van Warmond. Aan weerszijden van de entree twee T-vensters. Tussen de linker twee vensters een mededelingenkast. Gevel aan de Dorpsstraat (zuidwest) met twee T-vensters en een dubbele souterraindeur. In de zijgevel aan de tuinzijde een zesruits venster boven een deur en een gekoppeld drieruits keukenvenster met horizontale roedenverdeling. Gootlijst op klossen. In het dakschild boven de entree een kleine dakkapel met sierroedenverdeling onder een plat dak. Op de nok een dakruiter met rondbogen, een luidklok en twee hoekschoorstenen. Inwendig zijn onder meer de hoge dubbele paneeldeuren, alsmede de troggewelven en twee gevangeniscellen met inventaris in het souterrain bewaard gebleven.

TOWN HALL in Eclectic style from around 1857, located on the square village green along the Dorpsstraat in the old village centre of Warmond. The main façade (southeast) borders the green, the southwest gable faces the Dorpsstraat. The northwest gable is concealed behind the adjacent building and the northwest gable faces an interior courtyard. The interior has been altered while retaining some original elements due to the new function. During restoration the front steps with the wrought-iron railing were renewed.
Description
Building on rectangular plan with basement and bel-etage under hipped roof with suppressed Dutch tiles. Facades facing the green and the Dorpsstraat rendered with false joints, spandrels, corner pilasters and meandering drip moulding. Above the rendered frieze a profiled overhanging cornice.
In the five-bay symmetrical front façade (southeast) on the green a central raised entrance in a rendered central projection with a curved pediment. A front steps covered with natural stone slabs leads to the double wooden panelled door with circular ornament as in the corner pilasters. Fanlight with decorative glazing bars under profiled segmental arch with hood. Above it the coat of arms of Warmond. On either side of the entrance two T-windows. Between the left two windows a notice board. Façade facing the Dorpsstraat (southwest) with two T-windows and a double basement door. In the side gable on the courtyard side a six-pane window above a door and a coupled three-pane kitchen window with horizontal glazing bars. Cornice on corbels. In the roof slope above the entrance a small roof dormer with decorative glazing bars under a flat roof. On the ridge a roof turret with round arches, a bell and two corner chimneys. Internally preserved are among others the tall double panelled doors, as well as the barrel vaults and two prison cells with fixtures in the basement.
