Inleiding
HEKWERK met TOEGANGSHEK, behorende bij het boerderijcomplex ten westen van de Rijsdijk te Rhoon. Het ijzeren hekwerk vormt de omheining van het erf en is in de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw geplaatst.
Omschrijving
Het hekwerk is geplaatst aan de westzijde van de dijk langs de boomgaard, maakt een knik en vormt dan de erfafscheiding aan de zuidzijde van het erf. In deze zijde is een toegangshek aangebracht.
Het gietijzeren hekwerk is opgebouwd uit kolommen met bolornament en dwarssteun, met tussen de kolommen een twintig spijlen breed hekdeel. Aan de dijk zijn twaalf hekdelen geplaatst, aan de zuidzijde van het erf zijn ten oosten van het toegangshek vier hekdelen geplaatst en ten westen van de toegangspoort twee hekdelen. Het toegangshek is opgebouwd uit twee forsere kolommen waaraan twee scharnierende hekdelen zijn opgehangen. Deze hekdelen worden naar het midden toe hoger. De spijlen zijn hier voorzien van pijlpunten.

Het hekwerk is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische en de ensemblewaarde.

IRONWORK with ACCESS GATE, belonging to the farmyard complex west of the Rijsdijk at Rhoon. The iron fencing forms the enclosure of the yard and was installed in the second half of the nineteenth century.
Description
The fencing is installed on the west side of the dyke along the orchard, makes a bend and then forms the yard boundary on the south side of the yard. In this side an access gate is installed.
The cast-iron fencing is built up from columns with ball ornament and cross-bracing, with between the columns a fence panel twenty uprights wide. On the dyke twelve fence panels are installed, on the south side of the yard four fence panels are installed to the east of the access gate and two fence panels to the west of the access gate. The access gate is built up from two more substantial columns to which two hinged fence panels are hung. These panels become higher towards the middle. The uprights are provided here with arrow points.

The fencing is of general interest on account of cultural-historical and ensemble value.
