Inleiding
WAGENSCHUUR, behorende bij het boerderijcomplex aan de westzijde van de Rijsdijk te Rhoon en gebouwd in Abachtelijk-traditionele trant omstreeks 1900. De wagenschuur is gesitueerd aan de westzijde van de met kiezels bedekte erf-weg, in de zuidwestelijke hoek van het erf. De oorspronkelijk rechthoekige schuur is later uitgebreid met een rechthoekig volume onder een lessenaarsdak, in gebruik als varkens- en/of kleinveestal.
Omschrijving
De wagenschuur heeft een L-vormige plattegrond met één bouwlaag. De stam van de L staat evenwijdig aan het kiezelpad en heeft een zadeldak. Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een rechthoekige uitbouw onder een geknikt lessenaarsdak. Het dak is gedekt met rode pannen. De houten windveren en smalle houten gootlijsten zijn wit geverfd. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen in kruisverband. In de voorgevel (oostzijde) zijn drie dubbele wagendeuren aangebracht. De achtergevel is in het teruggelegen deel links voorzien van een segmentboogvormig venster en in het risalerende deel rechts van een luik laag bij de grond. De linker zijgevel heeft in het hoofdvolume twee segmentboogvormige vensters en in de aanbouw links een rechtgesloten staldeur. De rechter zijgevel is eveneens voorzien van twee segmentboogvormige vensters.

De wagenschuur is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde.

WAGON BARN, belonging to the farmstead complex on the west side of the Rijsdijk at Rhoon and built in traditional craftsman style around 1900. The wagon barn is situated on the west side of the pebble-covered farm track, in the south-west corner of the farm yard. The originally rectangular barn was later extended with a rectangular volume under a lean-to roof, in use as a pig and/or small livestock stall.
Description
The wagon barn has an L-shaped ground plan with one storey. The stem of the L runs parallel to the pebble path and has a gabled roof. At the rear is a rectangular extension under a bent lean-to roof. The roof is covered with red tiles. The wooden wind braces and narrow wooden gutter lines are painted white. The gables are constructed in red brick in English bond. In the front gable (east side) three double wagon doors are installed. The rear gable is in the recessed part on the left provided with a segmental-arched window and in the projecting part on the right with a shutter low to the ground. The left side gable has two segmental-arched windows in the main volume and on the extension on the left a flush stable door. The right side gable is likewise provided with two segmental-arched windows.
