Inleiding
BOERDERIJ van het type Vlaamse schuur met zijlangsdeel en woonhuis in het verlengde van de schuur, gebouwd in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant in 1868 in opdracht van Otto Klein Jan en hoofdonderdeel van het boerderijcomplex ten oosten van de Rijsdijk. De boerderij had oorspronkelijk een gemengde functie, veeteelt en akkerbouw. Rond 1910 is aan de linker zijgevel van het woonhuis een kleine uitbreiding gerealiseerd. Rond 1950 is de schuur aangepast voor de fruitteelt. Hierbij is de wagendeur in de rechter zijgevel vervangen door een schuifdeur. Tevens werd de paardenstal achter in de schuur verwijderd, waarbij de gevelopeningen in de achtergevel zijn dichtgemetseld. In het achterste deel van de koeienstal werd een kleine kantine ingericht.
Rond 1950 is tevens het woonhuis gewijzigd. Zo is in het woonhuis een badkamer en een nieuwe keuken aangebracht. Hierbij leidde een kleine uitbreiding aan de linker zijgevel van het woonhuis ook tot wijzigingen in het exterieur. In het rechter dakschild van het woonhuis werd een dakkapel met plat dak geplaatst. In de rechter zijgevel van de schuur zijn in muurankers het jaartal AN 1868 en de letters O, K en J aangebracht.
Omschrijving
De boerderij van het type Vlaamse schuur heeft een samengestelde plattegrond. Aan zowel de rechthoekige plattegrond van het woonhuis als de rechthoekige plattegrond van de schuur zijn aan de linkerzijde kleine rechthoekige uitbreidingen gepleegd. De zijlangsdeel van de schuur bevindt zich aan de zuidzijde. Het woonhuis is asymmetrisch voor de westgevel van de schuur geplaatst. Het woonhuis en de schuur hebben één bouwlaag. De schuur heeft een met riet gedekt, afgewolfd zadeldak, het woonhuis heeft een zadeldak gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. De aanbouw aan het woonhuis heeft een plat dak, de aanbouw aan de schuur een flauw hellend lessenaarsdak. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in gele baksteen in kruisverband. In de gevels van het woonhuis zijn rechtgesloten vensters met vier- en zesruits schuiframen geplaatst. De schuur heeft dubbele openslaande wagendeuren, segmentboogvormige en rondboogvormige stalvensters, ronde vensters met bloemmotief en rechtgesloten staldeuren met bovenlicht.
De voorgevel van het woonhuis is symmetrisch opgezet en heeft de vorm van een tuitgevel. Links van dit hoofdvolume bevindt zich de aanbouw met een van een gekrulde rollaag voorziene gevel waarin één venster is aangebracht. De tuitgevel heeft een geprofileerde voordeur in het midden, geflankeerd door twee vensters. De verdieping bevat in de tweede en vierde travee eveneens vensters. In de top van de gevel bevindt zich een klein rechtgesloten venster. De teruggelegen gevel van het bedrijfsgedeelte is voorzien van vlechtingen. Rechts bevindt zich de toegang tot de zijlangsdeel met houten dubbele openslaande wagendeuren. Vlak boven deze toegang is een rond venster met bloemvormige roedenverdeling aangebracht. Een identiek venster bevindt zich rechts in de top van de gevel.
De asymmetrische achtergevel van de schuur heeft geheel links de half dichtgemetselde wagendeur. In het bovendeel staat een breed venster. Vlak boven deze thans afgesloten toegang is een rond venster met bloemvormige roedenverdeling aangebracht. Identieke vensters bevinden zich in de top van de gevel en geheel rechts. Onder dit laatste venster zijn twee staldeuren met links een rondboogvormig stalvenster geplaatst. In het midden van de gevel is een staldeur vervangen door een gemetselde muur, waarbij het oorspronkelijke bovenlicht bewaard is gebleven.
De asymmetrische linker zijgevel van het woonhuis is ingrijpend gewijzigd, de linker zijgevel van het bedrijfsgedeelte is vrijwel gaaf. De aanbouw uit 1910 neemt tweederde van de woonhuisgevel in beslag. In deze aanbouw is een segmentboogvormig venster geplaatst. In de teruggelegen gevel zijn de vensters eveneens vernieuwd. Het betreffen rechtgesloten vensters, een samengesteld venster behorend tot de keuken en een kleiner venster behorend tot de badkamer. De linker zijgevel van het bedrijfsgedeelte is behoudens een kleine aanbouw en een staldeur geheel rechts is de gevel voorzien van rondboogvormige stalvensters met gietijzeren ramen, behorend bij de koestal.
De asymmetrische rechter zijgevel van het woonhuis is voorzien van twee vensters, vrij ver uit elkaar geplaatst. Het linker venster heeft evenals de vensters in de bovenlaag van de voorgevel slechts een middenstijl in het schuifvenster. Daartussen, vlak onder de goot, is een luik geplaatst. De asymmetrische rechter zijgevel van de schuur heeft in de eerste drie van de vijf traveeën segmentboogvormige vensters. Boven het venster in de tweede travee is een luik geplaatst. In de vierde travee bevindt zich de vernieuwde schuifdeur. De vijfde travee is vensterloos.
Schuin boven de drie vensters zijn de letters O, K, J geplaatst. In de onderste helft van de gehele gevel bevinden zich de smeedijzeren letters en cijfers A, N, 1, 8, 6, 8.
Het interieur van het woonhuis heeft zowel wat indeling als decoratie betreft wijzigingen ondergaan. In de keuken zijn de kastdeuren behorende bij de bedsteden nog aanwezig. In de schuur bevinden zich etage-ankerdwarsgebinten. Delen van de koestal zijn bewaard gebleven.

FARM of the Flemish barn type with side-passage section and dwelling house in line with the barn, built in craft-traditional building style in 1868 on the instructions of Otto Klein Jan and main component of the farm complex to the east of the Rijsdijk. The front gable of the dwelling house is symmetrically arranged and has the form of a spout gable. At the top of the gable there is a small right-angled window. The set-back gable of the business section is provided with wattle work. On the right is the entrance to the side-passage section with wooden double opening cart doors. Just above this entrance a round window with flower-shaped glazing bars is placed. An identical window is located on the right in the top of the gable.
The asymmetrical rear gable of the barn has on the far left the half-bricked-up cart door. In the upper part stands a wide window. Just above this now closed entrance a round window with flower-shaped glazing bars is placed. Identical windows are located in the top of the gable and on the far right. Below this last window two stable doors are placed with on the left a round arch-shaped stable window. In the middle of the gable a stable door was replaced by a bricked-up wall, with the original fanlight preserved.
The asymmetrical left side gable of the dwelling house has been substantially modified, the left side gable of the business section is virtually intact. The 1910 extension occupies two-thirds of the dwelling house gable. In this extension a segmental arch-shaped window is placed. In the set-back gable the windows are also renewed. These are right-angled windows, a composite window belonging to the kitchen and a smaller window belonging to the bathroom. The left side gable of the business section, with the exception of a small extension and a stable door on the far right, the gable is furnished with round arch-shaped stable windows with cast iron frames, belonging to the cattle stall.
The asymmetrical right side gable of the dwelling house is furnished with two windows, placed quite far apart. The left window, like the windows in the upper storey of the front gable, has only a central mullion in the sash window. Between these, just below the gutter, a shutter is placed. The asymmetrical right side gable of the barn has segmental arch-shaped windows in the first three of the five bays. Above the window in the second bay a shutter is placed.
