Inleiding
Het object bestaat uit een voorheen doorlopende, thans in verschillende delen bewaard gebleven betonnen KEERMUUR ten behoeve van de waterbeheersing, daterende uit omstreeks 1930. De muur is aangebracht op de kruin van 't Vaartje, aan de zuidelijke zijde.
Omschrijving
De keermuur bestaat uit een gewapend betonnen fundering en opbouw op de grens tussen de kavels en de dijkweg. De keermuur toont op het verweerde oppervlak sporen van de bekisting en heeft rechte zijden en een platte afdekking met afgeschuinde kanten. Hij volgt het rechte beloop van de weg en is ter hoogte van de ingangen der percelen onderbroken. Links en rechts van de doorbroken gedeelten maakt de muur een knik. De haakse gedeelten vertonen telkens twee verticale sponningen voor de schotbalken en eindigen in een afgeschuind gedeelte. De muur is hier en daar geheel of gedeeltelijk verwijderd.
Ter hoogt van no. 36 is de muur volledig bewaard, inclusief de haakse gedeelten, bij no. 38 is hij op een deel van de haakse delen na weggebroken. Bij no. 42 is hij aanwezig, bij de nummers 44 en 46 is hij gebruikt als omlijsting voor de verhoogde stoep. Bij no. 46A is hij aanwezig, bij no 48 verdwenen, bij no. 50 en 52 resteren alleen de haakse gedeelten. Bij no. 54 is hij geheel verdwenen, bij no. 56 ontbreekt een kleine hoek. Bij no. 58, 60, 62 en 64 is hij aanwezig, al zijn bij no. 62 de haakse delen verlaagd. Op no. 68 ontbreekt alleen een hoek, op no. 72 is bij het maken van een stoep alleen het rechter deel met de doorgang bewaard gebleven. Daar eindigt de muur met een L-vormig gedeelte met schotbalksponningen ten behoeve van de doorgang en de straatweg.

The retaining wall consists of a reinforced concrete foundation and superstructure on the boundary between the plots and the dyke road. The retaining wall shows traces of the formwork on its weathered surface and has straight sides and a flat cover with chamfered edges. It follows the straight course of the road and is interrupted at the height of the entrances to the properties. To the left and right of the interrupted sections the wall makes a bend. The perpendicular sections each show two vertical grooves for the closing boards and end in a chamfered section. The wall has been completely or partially removed in places.
At no. 36 the wall is completely preserved, including the perpendicular sections, at no. 38 it is broken away except for part of the perpendicular sections. At no. 42 it is present, at numbers 44 and 46 it is used as edging for the raised pavement. At no. 46A it is present, at no. 48 gone, at nos. 50 and 52 only the perpendicular sections remain.
