Inleiding
Voormalige LEERLOOIERIJ uit de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw, opgetrokken in een streek-eigen bouwtrant, aansluitend op een ten westen gesitueerd woonhuis dat buiten de bescherming valt. Thans in gebruik als opslagplaats.
Omschrijving
De looierij heeft drie bouwlagen en bestaat uit een onderbouw in gele IJsselsteen, waarop een houten opbouw onder een zadeldak met overstek, gedekt met oud-Hollandse pannen. In de voorgevel een openslaande deur met roederamen en rechts een zestienruits raam. Erboven een gedeeltelijk vernieuwd, geteerd houten beschot met de originele ventilatieluiken met beslag.
De linker zijgevel heeft beneden drie zestienruits ramen. Erboven houten beschot twee hijsdeuren, op de verdieping geflankeerd door halfronde ramen. Overstek met windveren en houten toppinakel. De achtergevel heeft een ondergevel, die gepleisterd is na de afbraak van een aanbouw. Op de begane grond een roederaam en deur. De verdieping heeft vernieuwde rabatdelen.
Inwendig telt het gebouw twee traveeën. De benedenruimte heeft een moerbalk en lichte kinderbalklaag. De lage voormalige droogruimten hebben een houtskelet met beschieting en een kap met driehoekspant met gespijkerde verbindingen. Op de verdieping is zichtbaar dat de stenen topgevel met vlechtingen later is gebouwd op de zijgevel van het ten westen aansluitende woonhuis.

Het gebouw is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling en als bijzondere uitdrukking van de technische en typologische ontwikkeling van de leerlooierij in het algemeen; het heeft architectuurhistorische waarden vanwege de bouwtechniek; ensemblewaarden: het is van belang vanwege de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid; het object is van belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur.

Description
The tannery has three storeys and consists of a substructure in yellow IJssel stone, upon which a wooden superstructure under a gabled roof with overhang, covered with Dutch tiles. In the front gable an opening door with glazing bars and to the right a sixteen-pane window. Above a partially renewed, tarred wooden cladding with the original ventilation hatches with fittings.
The left side gable has below three sixteen-pane windows. Above wooden cladding two hoist doors, on the storey flanked by semi-circular windows. Overhang with wind braces and wooden gable finial. The rear gable has a lower gable which has been plastered after the demolition of an extension. On the ground floor a glazing-bar window and door. The storey has renewed rabbet sections.
Interiorly the building comprises two bays. The ground-floor space has a principal beam and light secondary beam layer. The low former drying rooms have a timber frame with cladding and a roof truss with triangular truss with nailed connections. On the storey it is visible that the stone gable with timber framing was later built upon the side gable of the residence adjoining to the west.
Valuation
The building is of general importance.
