Inleiding
Uit ca. 1870 daterend WOONHUIS (onderdeel I) van een schoenfabrikant, opgetrokken in een ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant; in 1920 en 1936 uitgebreid met een SCHOENFABRIEK (onderdeel II) tegen de achtergevel. Rond 1930 zijn enkele grote ramen ingebroken en na ca. 1950 is achter een éénlaags aanbouw geplaatst, welke niet tot het monument behoort.
Omschrijving
Het woonhuis telt één bouwlaag, is opgetrokken uit baksteen, gewit en heeft een zadeldak, gedekt met rode oud-Hollandse pannen, met de nok haaks op de straat.
De voorgevel heeft een zwarte plint, eenvoudige steekankers en een tuitgevel met vlechtingen, bekroond met een toppinakel met sieranker op een kraagsteentje. De vernieuwde voordeur heeft een paneeldeur met klopper in de vorm van een leeuwenkop, voorafgegaan door een stoepje met smeedijzeren sierhekken. Links en rechts en op de verdieping zesruits schuiframen met hardstenen dorpels. De linker zijgevel heeft een zesruits raam en twee brede samengestelde ramen met glas-in-lood bovenlichten. De rechter zijgevel heeft zesruits schuif- en stolpramen.
Inwendig wordt het huis door een middengang gedeeld. In de linker kamer een eenvoudig stucplafond, in de rechter suitekamers een houten pui met openslaande deuren, waarin een bovenlicht van geëtst glas. Kelder onder de achterkamer. Beschoten gordingenkap van grenehout.
Waardering
Het gebouw is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische en technische en typologische ontwikkeling van het woonhuis in het algemeen; het heeft architectuurhistorische waarden voor de geschiedenis van de bouwtechniek, onder meer vanwege de toegepaste stijlelementen; het heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid; gaafheid/herkenbaarheid: het object is van belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het ex- en of interieur.

Introduction
A DWELLING HOUSE (component I) dating from circa 1870 belonging to a shoe manufacturer, built in a craftsman-traditional building manner; in 1920 and 1936 extended with a SHOE FACTORY (component II) against the rear facade. Around 1930 several large windows were broken through and after circa 1950 a one-storey extension was placed behind it, which does not form part of the monument.
Description
The dwelling house has one storey, is built of brick, whitewashed and has a gabled roof, covered with red old-Dutch tiles, with the ridge at right angles to the street.
The front facade has a black plinth, simple stretcher anchors and a spout gable with weavings, crowned with a top pinnacle with ornamental anchor on a corbel stone. The renewed front door has a panel door with a knocker in the form of a lion's head, preceded by a step with wrought-iron ornamental railings. To the left and right and on the upper storey six-pane sash windows with hardstone sills. The left side facade has a six-pane window and two wide composite windows with leaded glass fanlights. The right side facade has six-pane sash and casement windows.
Internally the house is divided by a central passage. In the left room a simple stuccoed ceiling, in the right adjacent rooms a wooden partition with opening doors, in which a fanlight of etched glass. Cellar under the rear room. Boarded common rafter roof of fir wood.

The building has cultural-historical values as a particular expression of the socio-economic, technical and typological development of the dwelling house in general; it has architectural-historical values for the history of building technique, including because of the applied style elements; it has ensemble values because of the high-quality nature of the building and the historical-spatial relationship with roads, waters and soil conditions; intactness/recognisability: the object is of importance due to the architectural intactness of the exterior and/or interior.
