Omschrijving
Het bakstenen pand is één laag hoog en heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond onder zadeldak, gedekt met leien. Het pand heeft een grote verdiepingshoogte. De gevels zijn voorzien van natuurstenen plinten en gootlijsten. In de naar de Grotestraat gerichte gevel zijn grote rondbogen aangebracht, in het midden een klein topgeveltje met raam. Daaronder is een plaquette met jaartallen 1937-62 ingemetseld. De kopse gevel heeft eveneens een rondboog. De invulling van deze bogen is van latere datum. Op de hoek met het plein is tegen de zijgevel een ijzeren uithangbord bevestigd. De achtergevel is blind.
Waardering
De winkel is van algemeen belang. Het object is van cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens vormgeving en materiaalgebruik. Het pand heeft ensemblewaarde als essentieel onderdeel van het geheel.

Description
The brick building is one storey high and has a rectangular ground plan under a gabled roof, covered with slate. The building has a large storey height. The facades are fitted with natural stone plinths and cornice strips. In the facade facing Grotestraat are large round arches, in the centre a small gable top with a window. Below it a plaque with the dates 1937-62 is set into the masonry. The end gable likewise has a round arch. The filling of these arches is of a later date. On the corner with the square an iron signboard is attached to the side facade. The rear facade is blind.
Valuation
The shop is of general importance. The object is of cultural-historical importance as an expression of socio-economic development. It has architectural-historical value due to its form and material use. The building has ensemble value as an essential component of the whole.
