Omschrijving onderdeel 4: VAZEN VOOR HET HUIS
Vier hardstenen diskusvormige vazen op sokkels in late Lodewijk XVI-stijl uit cica 1800. De vazen staan aan de voorzijde van het hoofdgebouw opgesteld en zijn waarschijnlijk in opdracht van Lucas W.P. baron van der Borch (1738-1820) op Hondsdonk gekomen. De vazen vertonen grote stilistische overeenkomst met de 'urn van de kolonel' (zie onderdeel 7).
WAARDERING
De VAZEN VOOR HET HUIS zijn van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom en gaafheid;
- vanwege de beeldbepalende en ensemblewaarde;
- vanwege de ornamentele waarde;

Description of component 4: URNS IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE
Four sandstone discus-shaped urns on plinths in late Louis XVI style from circa 1800. The urns are arranged at the front of the main building and probably came to Hondsdonk at the commission of Lucas W.P. baron van der Borch (1738-1820). The urns display great stylistic similarities with the 'urn of the colonel' (see component 7).
VALUATION
The URNS IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE are of general cultural-historical importance:
- because of their age and integrity;
- because of their image-determining and ensemble value;
- because of their ornamental value;
- as a rare example of a presumably purpose-made ensemble for the country house, which remains at this country house to this day;
- as a good example of garden urns in late Louis XVI style.
